After months of teasing, Hundred Round Kado<\/a><\/strong> has officially delivered #GodGotTheMixtape<\/em>, hosted by Manny ThaGod<\/strong>. Released Sunday, June 1, the tape is more than just a collection of records\u2014it\u2019s a spiritual checkpoint, a declaration of purpose, and a reminder of where Kado\u2019s been and where he\u2019s headed.<\/p>\n

The cover says it all: Kado and his son standing in front of a church. Legacy. Redemption. Real faith. And that\u2019s exactly what you get across the 20-track project, which features fellow Massachusetts spitters like Lazy Coca<\/strong>,\u00a0Sidestreet Capo<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Wave Capone<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Showly<\/strong>,\u00a0Montega Ma<\/strong>c,\u00a0Ezzy Gwapo<\/strong>,\u00a0Dondzy<\/strong>,\u00a0Yahweh Almighty<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Daytime Action<\/strong>. It\u2019s local but universal\u2014rooted in where he\u2019s from, but resonating far beyond the 508.<\/p>\n

One of the most talked-about cuts, \u201cGhost of Ricky Gramz,\u201d brings things full circle. For longtime fans, Ricky Gramz<\/strong> was the name Kado came up under. Mentioning it here? That\u2019s a clear signal: this isn\u2019t just music\u2014it\u2019s transformation. It\u2019s reflection. It\u2019s testimony.<\/p>\n

With titles like \u201cThe Reason Why,\u201d \u201cNarcissistik Libra,\u201d \u201cBlood in the Water,\u201d and \u201cSleep With A Shovel,\u201d it\u2019s no surprise the project leans heavy on honesty, pain, and raw storytelling. This marks Kado\u2019s first drop since 2022\u2019s Never Lost A Gun Fight (Allegedly)<\/a><\/em> and continues the legacy he\u2019s been building since King of the Triple Beam Vol. 2<\/em> and Kome Get A Blessin<\/em>g. He teased the drop with a simple message: \u201cTomorrow Is Church\u2026 Kome As You Are.\u201d It\u2019s Kado through and through\u2014unapologetically real.<\/p>\n

Of course, the music is only half the story.<\/p>\n

Kado\u2014born Ricardo Barlatier<\/strong>\u2014has one of the most unbelievable backstories in hip-hop. Born in federal prison in Dade County, Florida, and raised between Freeport, Brooklyn, Atlanta, and Framingham, MA, his life has been anything but linear. In 2021, he was arrested again in Worcester after a high-speed chase and foot pursuit that ended with police recovering two loaded firearms and controlled substances. The charges were heavy, but even behind bars, Kado was writing, reflecting, and plotting his return.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s no stranger to setbacks. But he\u2019s also never let them define him. After his 2016 release, he retired the Ricky Gramz name and started moving under Hundred Round Kado\u2014a moniker that speaks to his explosive artistry and Haitian roots. \u201cKado\u201d means \u201cgift\u201d in French Creole, and the name fits. Whether rapping in English or Creole, he\u2019s always delivering a message.<\/p>\n

And this mixtape? It\u2019s the bridge between pain and purpose.<\/p>\n

In a recent sit-down with CWTFB Radio<\/a><\/strong>, Kado opened up about the meaning behind the tape and the forthcoming album God Got The Rest<\/em>. \u201cI met my blessings halfway and God showed me he had the rest,\u201d he said. \u201cYou meet me right here, I got you from here.\u201d That\u2019s what this project is about.
