The Note<\/strong> was the last music venue in the bustling Philly<\/strong> suburb of West Chester<\/strong>.<\/p>\n For several years, the club hosted local and touring acts. But it shut down in 2014.<\/p>\n Now, Frank Herron<\/strong> of Saloon 151<\/strong> and Barbabay\u2019s<\/strong> has breathed life back into the East Market Street<\/strong> space in the form of Station 142<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Station 142<\/strong> opened May 1, and Herron<\/strong> said the response has been overwhelming.<\/p>\n \u201cThe main reason for Station 142<\/strong> is to give local artists a venue,\u201d Herron<\/strong> said. \u201cWest Chester<\/strong> has been starving for live music.\u201d<\/p>\n Herron<\/strong> has tapped Anthony Baker Entertainment<\/strong> to book gigs at Station 142<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Live music fans will find acts from the Jersey Shore<\/strong>, Philadelphia<\/strong> and the suburbs on Station 142\u2019s<\/strong> performance calendar. The venue also hosts DJs, acoustic sets, dueling pianos and monthly singer-songwriter performance and discussion events curated by Nashville<\/strong> songwriter Rob Snyder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cRob<\/strong> was very brave,\u201d Herron<\/strong> said of the local who made good in the country music industry. \u201cHe sold everything, moved to Nashville<\/strong>, did what he had to do. He\u2019s written three of Luke Combs\u2019<\/strong> big hits.\u201d<\/p>\n Recently, Station 142<\/strong> hosted South Jersey<\/strong> rockers Fat Mezz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cFat Mezz<\/strong> was amazing,\u201d he said. \u201cThey\u2019re coming back a couple more times. They\u2019re so talented that they\u2019re going to be national. Those guys are so talented and also focused that I\u2019m going to cherish having them perform here.\u201d<\/p>\n And when it comes to national acts, Station 142<\/strong> is open to hosting them, but Herron<\/strong> said for now he wants to make sure the venue is a space for up-and-coming artists.<\/p>\n The roughly 5,000-square-foot space is not only a venue, but a bar and restaurant.<\/p>\n Herron<\/strong> once again teamed up with partner and executive chef Melissa Grafton<\/strong> to craft Station 142\u2019s<\/strong> menu. Herron<\/strong> said the tuna and steak are must-try dishes.<\/p>\n Additionally, Station 142<\/strong> has a robust bar program that offers up all the staples and more.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re partnering with some bands and Stateside Vodka<\/strong> on a regular basis, and with several local breweries,\u201d he said. \u201cThey include Imprint<\/strong>, Stable<\/strong> and Wrong Crowd<\/strong> to start. Levante<\/strong> is also getting in on the action.\u201d<\/p>\n And Station 142<\/strong> has TVs set up throughout the dining and bar area that will broadcast the live performances so everyone can enjoy the stylings of the evening\u2019s performers.<\/p>\n \u201cWest Chester<\/strong> is great,\u201d Herron<\/strong> said. \u201cThe town is really dynamic.\u201d<\/p>\n With West Chester University<\/strong> nearby, he said he\u2019s found a pool of eager young people to staff the venue, restaurant and bar, while the clientele remains a bit older than the college-aged workers.<\/p>\n Station 142<\/strong> regularly shares news of its performances and food and drink specials on social media, so be sure to follow them on their socials\u00a0to keep tabs on who\u2019s coming to perform and what deals are offered.<\/p>\n For June 2025, performances include The Zone<\/strong>, Biscotti Boys<\/strong>, Jamison<\/strong>, Dan & Dan Band<\/strong> and a slew of DJs.<\/p>\n Station 142<\/strong> is also available for private events.<\/p>\n Learn more about Station 142<\/strong> \u00a0<\/span>online here<\/a><\/strong> \u00a0<\/span>socials Instagram<\/a> <\/strong>and Facebook<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Station 142<\/strong> is located at 142 E.
