I. <\/strong>If you want to become great at something, follow these simple steps:<\/p>\n

1) Find something that feels easy to you <\/p>\n

2) Work really hard at it<\/p>\n

\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014-<\/p>\n

II. <\/strong>You will be no more prepared in the future than you are right now if you make no changes to what you\u2019re doing today.<\/p>\n

You won\u2019t be wiser. You won\u2019t be more knowledgeable. You won\u2019t be more ready. You won\u2019t be more confident. You won\u2019t be more prepared.<\/p>\n

The only way to change your future is to change your present\u2014either by doing the thing you\u2019ve been putting off or by adjusting your habits and practices to prepare for what you don\u2019t yet feel ready to do.<\/p>\n

What you can\u2019t<\/em> do is keep doing exactly what you\u2019re doing and expect to feel differently at some random point down the road.<\/p>\n

In some cases, you won\u2019t feel ready until you actually start. In others, you can build confidence and competency, but it starts by taking action now.<\/p>\n

If you keep saying, \u201cI\u2019ll do X someday,\u201d but do nothing today to prepare for that day, \u201csomeday\u201d will never come.<\/p>\n

    An Immense World by Ed Yong <\/a><\/p>\n

    A fascinating book on how different animals and insects perceive the world. It explores how the sensitivity of their senses differs from ours and how wildly different our perceptions of reality can be. <\/p>\n

    The book is eye-opening in many ways, and I learned a lot. At the same time, it was a long read. Given the depth of information and explanations, it\u2019s not something you can get through quickly. <\/p>\n

    By the end, I had to push myself to finish it. If you’re interested in this topic, you\u2019ll likely enjoy the book. However, I think most casual readers might lose interest after a while. <\/p>\n

    If it were 100 pages shorter, I think it would appeal to a wider audience. If you’re an animal lover, however, I think you would enjoy it. <\/p>\n

    The author does a great job delivering on the book\u2019s premise. My rating is based on how much I enjoyed the book, and while I appreciated learning from it, which keeps my rating higher than it might have been otherwise, it required more effort to get through than I would have liked. <\/p>\n
