While we\u2019ve tried a Mead or two in our day, we\u2019re far from experts, so this bit of banter is from a novice\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n<p>For those of you that have never had Mead, here\u2019s what it\u2019s all about:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\"><em>Mead (also called honey wine) is an alcoholic beverage produced by fermenting honey. However, if a winemaker adds honey to a wine made from grapes, this mixture can also be termed \u201choney wine.\u201d It\u2019s important to note, though, that grape-based wines sweetened with honey are not considered mead.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>So honey, water, and yeast. That\u2019s all it is. But is it any good, and did we survive the tasting?
