You might have seen my recent review of Domes Aul\u016bs Elounda, Curio Collection by Hilton<\/a>.\u00a0 We took Jet2 flights from Leeds Bradford Airport<\/a> and I have to say, it was brilliant.\u00a0 I hadn\u2019t flown from Leeds Bradford Airport for over 20 years and it was absolutely marvellous to fly from there again.\u00a0 It\u2019s such a lovely friendly airport, it\u2019s just over an hour from my house, parking was easy and check-in was quick.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

They were finishing renovations when we flew which are about to be completed, so I\u2019d love to return to see them.<\/p>\n

I have reviewed the hotel we booked though Jet2Holidays here<\/a> but I also wanted to write a quick review of the flight.\u00a0 The plane was a Boeing 737-800 (according to the information in the seat pocket \u2013 I wouldn\u2019t have known this otherwise!).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

This meant two rows of three seats on either side.\u00a0 For an additional cost you can book your preferred seat ahead of time on the app or online.\u00a0 We were in seats 2B and 2C.\u00a0 These were right at the front of the plane and had lots of legroom.\u00a0 I am in the middle of the below photo and am 5\u20195\u2033 for reference.\u00a0 The young man to my left was quite tall.<\/p>\n

On our return flight we were lucky enough to have a spare seat between us which was very nice.\u00a0 We held our breath until they made the announcement about \u2018cabin crew closing the doors\u2019 and inwardly cheered when no-one appeared!\u00a0 It was a just-after-midnight flight on the way home and there were several empty seats.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

I have repeated the photo below just to be able to discuss the seat back and tray table.\u00a0 There is a metal hoop that folds forward as a cupholder.\u00a0 Good for hot drinks, but too large for a can or pop bottle unfortunately.\u00a0 You do still have the tray table though to rest your drink on.\u00a0 There are the usual menus and duty free brochures in the pocket (it\u2019s not a proper pocket, so don\u2019t drop your phone into it!)<\/p>\n

\"Jet2\"Jet2<\/p>\n

On the subject of menus, Jet2 offer an excellent assortment of hot and cold food.\u00a0 This can be ordered ahead of time on the app which is great as then you are served first.\u00a0 It also means that you are pretty much guaranteed to get the item you want and you won\u2019t have to worry about them running out (happens to us a lot on some other airlines!).<\/p>\n

\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

I have to say what a very pleasant experience it was though.\u00a0 The planes were modern, clean and fresh with plenty of room (as these things go).\u00a0 The staff were lovely too, friendly and genuine \u2013 sometimes I find some cabin crew a little intimidating, but completely felt at home with Jet2.\u00a0 I also saw the pilot chatting to people as they boarded and he offered a small boy the opportunity to see the cockpit \u2013 which I was very envious of!\u00a0 I wouldn\u2019t hesitate to fly with them again.<\/p>\n
