He added that the first of thirteen\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ch-aviation.com\/aircraft-variants\/A32120N\" style=\"border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #c0272d; font-weight: 600; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration-line: none; transition: 0.35s ease-in-out, height;\">A321-200N<\/a>s are due in 2026.<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #545454; font-family: PublicSans, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px;\">&#8220;Philippine Airlines is preparing for a significant fleet update with the planned delivery of nine A350-1000 long-range aircraft and thirteen A321neo regional jets over the next few years,&#8221; he said. &#8220;PAL is likewise moving forward with a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ch-aviation.com\/news\/152739-philippine-airlines-to-refurbish-a321ceo-fleet\" style=\"border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #c0272d; font-weight: 600; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration-line: none; transition: 0.35s ease-in-out, height;\">comprehensive retrofit programme<\/a>\u00a0for its existing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ch-aviation.com\/aircraft-variants\/A321200\" style=\"border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #c0272d; font-weight: 600; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration-line: none; transition: 0.35s ease-in-out, height;\">A321-200<\/a>\u00a0fleet.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #545454; font-family: PublicSans, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px;\">Shareholders were told that Philippine Airlines had spent PHP20.26 billion pesos (USD363 million) on A350-1000 pre-delivery payments and PHP16.54 billion (USD297 million) on pre-delivery payments for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ch-aviation.com\/airlines\/AIR\" style=\"border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #c0272d; font-weight: 600; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; text-decoration-line: none; transition: 0.35s ease-in-out, height;\">Airbus<\/a>\u00a0narrowbodies. The carrier will use these aircraft to expand its nonstop route network, and the carrier also wants to develop more partnerships with other airlines.<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #545454; font-family: PublicSans, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px;\">Tan noted that Philippine Airlines had just recorded its 14th consecutive quarterly profit, posting a PHP4.33 billion (USD77.6 million) profit in the first quarter of 2025, up around 20% on the comparable 2024 quarter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"border: 0px; box-sizing: border-box; color: #545454; font-family: PublicSans, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 1.5rem; padding: 0px;\">&#8220;Philippine Airlines delivered solid financial results, expanded its network, and maintained high standards of operational reliability amid global challenges that have continued to impact the airline industry,&#8221; the chairman said. &#8220;As we look ahead, all of us need to remain mindful of the challenges that we continue to face.
