When tasting through the samples at the CIVR (the local regulatory and promotion body), there was always this brilliant moment when I\u2019d hit the wines of Collioure, the dry wine appellation that overlaps with the dessert wines of Banyuls. It was as if all of the sudden, amongst this larger sea of Grenache, Mourv\u00e8dre, and Syrah blends there would emerge these saline whites and reds with defined, vibrant fruit that spoke to their terroir lining [\u2026]<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For several years now, I\u2019ve been compiling reports on the Roussillon region of Southern France.
