While other recent reviews give this place 5 stars. Very strange.<\/p>\n<p>Also, when Scott and I visited all those years ago, we were the only ones there. And now I\u2019m wondering whether it was also technically \u201cclosed\u201d when we visited.<\/p>\n<p>With all that said, if you would like to see what we experienced during our visit, we\u2019ve kept this article in \u201carchive\u201d mode for the time being.<\/p>\n<p>Just proceed with caution as we\u2019re currently unsure whether Eleouthkia Botanical Park is what it used to be.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our Experience Visiting Eleouthkia Botanical Park<\/h2>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"743\" src=\"http:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Flowers-in-Eleouthkia-Park-Cyprus-1024x743.jpg\" alt=\"Flowers in Eleouthkia Park, Cyprus\" class=\"wp-image-10394\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Flowers-in-Eleouthkia-Park-Cyprus.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Flowers-in-Eleouthkia-Park-Cyprus-300x218.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Flowers-in-Eleouthkia-Park-Cyprus-768x557.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a big nature lover, botanical gardens are often high on my list of places to see whenever and wherever I\u2019m travelling to. If you\u2019re a regular reader, you\u2019ll know this already but for those of you who are new to my blog, you can catch up on all <a href=\"https:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/tag\/nature\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">my nature inspired posts right here.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Southern Cyprus, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eleouthkia Botanical Park<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is an impressive little haven for botanists (or just plain old simple nature lovers like me). And it is actually the first botanical park in Cyprus, making it an authentic and traditional way to explore <a href=\"http:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/cyprus-top-10-things-to-do\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the different types of attractions that Cyprus has to offer.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The name \u201cEleouthkia\u201d means small olive trees in Cypriot Greek. The park was so named due to the fact that Anarita Village (where the park can be found) has always been full of olive groves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The park itself is free to enter and has over 55,000 different types of flowers, shrubs, trees and plants to admire and learn more about. And often, you\u2019ll come across shaped shrubs and displays, which really do help to bring this joyous little park to life!<\/span><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Alongside the shaped shrubs, you\u2019ll spot cute little bridges, quaint wooden huts and tiny pathways that take you right through the trees and under shaded canopies.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When we visited in the height of summer in July, we were the only visitors walking around (making us initially think the park was closed!)<\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In my opinion, this is a great thing as you will feel like you\u2019ve got the whole place to yourselves to explore!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For couples and other nature lovers, this is such a romantic little spot to come to. Enjoy walking through the park, smelling the flowers, hand in hand and just generally getting away from all the hustle and bustle\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"781\" src=\"http:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Eleouthkia-Park-Cyprus-2-1024x781.jpg\" alt=\"Eleouthkia Park, Cyprus\" class=\"wp-image-10391\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Eleouthkia-Park-Cyprus-2.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Eleouthkia-Park-Cyprus-2-300x229.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wandereroftheworld.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Eleouthkia-Park-Cyprus-2-768x586.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To enjoy this park thoroughly, I\u2019d recommend spending a couple of hours here. But with such a pretty, tranquil little park to explore \u2013 what could possibly be wrong with spending more time here?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a note, you\u2019ll likely need to drive to Eleouthkia Park as it\u2019s a little out of the way.
