There\u2019s something electric about the collective pause: this moment when we all take stock of the departed year and look ahead at the new one. It feeds my Leo fire, my first-gen ambition, and my Type A love for fresh starts.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s like my personal halftime show but instead of a wardrobe malfunction I\u2019m debuting a new mindset \ud83d\ude42\u200d\u2195\ufe0f<\/p>\n<p>For me, the ritual isn\u2019t just about resolutions (though I do love a good goal), it\u2019s about creating space. Taking an unflinching look at life and asking: what\u2019s working? What isn\u2019t? What am I ready to let go of, and what do I want more of in the year ahead? <\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s deeply personal but also universal. We\u2019re all carrying things we\u2019ve outgrown, whether it\u2019s outdated habits, uninspired routines, or people who no longer fit the story we\u2019re writing. Definitely keeping that in 2025.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>So, here\u2019s my personal list of what\u2019s IN and what\u2019s OUT for 2025.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not exhaustive, it\u2019s not overly polished, and it doesn\u2019t follow any grand themes, but that\u2019s the point. Some are controversial, some are are IYKYK, and a few? Well, let\u2019s just say they\u2019re a (self) read.<\/p>\n<p>But before we dive in, let me say this: if the idea of curating your own INs and OUTs resonates with you, do it. Don\u2019t overthink it. Treat it like a love letter to yourself for the year ahead, a manifesto of who you\u2019re becoming and what you\u2019re leaving behind.<\/p>\n<p>Because the magic of New Year\u2019s isn\u2019t in the ball drop or the midnight toast. It\u2019s in this quiet (or not-so-quiet) act of self-definition.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-out\">OUT:<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Over-explaining\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Free emotional labor <\/li>\n<li>Parasocial relationship<\/li>\n<li>FOMO<\/li>\n<li>Travel content without purpose<\/li>\n<li>Suffering in silence<\/li>\n<li>Excessive filters (for faces, for life, for vibes)<\/li>\n<li>Not blurring out babies faces in social media posts<\/li>\n<li>Unpaid collabs(!!!)<\/li>\n<li>The first page of Google (the treasure is worth scrolling for, trust me)<\/li>\n<li>Anything \u201cunderwhelming\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Talking way too loudly (please why are you shouting at me)<\/li>\n<li>Bubble skirts<\/li>\n<li>Pick-mes<\/li>\n<li>Falling for rage bait<\/li>\n<li>The bare minimum<\/li>\n<li>People-pleasing<\/li>\n<li>Flakiness (self read on this one \u2013 just say no!)<\/li>\n<li>Budget airlines<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding the dentist<\/li>\n<li>Pilates <\/li>\n<li>Being afraid of aging<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-in\">IN:<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Outsourcing small things (laundry, interior design, putting together furniture \u2013 invest in help!)<\/li>\n<li>Capsule wardrobes<\/li>\n<li>Intentional indulgence<\/li>\n<li>Soft power moves (read: subtle but unmissable)<\/li>\n<li>Green juice\u2026 with champagne on the side<\/li>\n<li>Solo flights and solo dates<\/li>\n<li>Speaking up when you see a woman in trouble in public<\/li>\n<li>Being nice to flight attendants<\/li>\n<li>Conscious consumption (buy it once, love it forever)<\/li>\n<li>Handwritten notes<\/li>\n<li>Flirting for fun<\/li>\n<li>Cultural gatekeeping<\/li>\n<li>Expanding the conversation of race in America to embrace the complexities of mixed race, TCK people (read: stop asking me where I\u2019m from)<\/li>\n<li>Huge hair, free the curls<\/li>\n<li>Intentional vulnerability<\/li>\n<li>Finally hosting a Packs Light Meet Up (!!!)<\/li>\n<li>Type A itinerary planning<\/li>\n<li>Luxury in layers (think cashmere over a thrifted tee)<\/li>\n<li>Making the mundane magical (yes, even Monday mornings)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/SeekPTO.com\">SeekPTO.com<\/a> for Gen Z \ud83d\udc99<\/li>\n<li>Long-form storytelling. Obviously we\u2019re bringing back blogs!!!<\/li>\n<li>Lagree<\/li>\n<li>Life without trending audio<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n<p>This is me. This is where my heads at January 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at my list, a theme that stands out to me is intentionality (if you know me, this is an eyeroll more than a shocker).<\/p>\n<p>But it&#8217;s true! This phase of life feels like a shift from just figuring things out to actively refining what works for me and unapologetically releasing what doesn\u2019t. I\u2019m focusing on experiences and choices that feel meaningful: whether that\u2019s building deeper connections with people who energize me, prioritizing travel that inspires and challenges me, or investing my time in work that feels purposeful and rewarding.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, I think I finally internalized that for me, hustle culture isn\u2019t just exhausting, it\u2019s truly unproductive. I\u2019m stepping away from busywork and external expectations like saying yes to projects out of obligation or guilt, and focusing on what puts me in my flow state. On the flip side, I\u2019m leaning into things that bring joy, like travel that\u2019s equal parts adventurous and restorative, or quality over quantity in friendships and opportunities. Even something as small as upgrading how I approach self-care\u2014prioritizing it as a necessity, not a reward\u2014feels like a shift toward balance and giving my brain and obligations space to grow into who I&#8217;m meant to be!<\/p>\n<p>In 2025 I want to say no more than yes, but I want the yeses to be huge, big, loud, blingy life-changing yeses. For me 2025 is  not about having it all figured out, but about honing the clarity and confidence to keep moving toward what feels right.<\/p>\n<p>So what&#8217;s my message to you reading this? Lists like these may seem trivial but I promise they&#8217;re much more if you allow them to be. They\u2019re a snapshot of where you\u2019re at in life and what you value right now. It\u2019s easy to get swept up in trends or to-do lists, but taking a moment to reflect. Whether it\u2019s through journaling, a vision board, or something playful like this, it grounds you.<\/p>\n<p>And you know for me, travel is central to that life.<\/p>\n<p>Like, my number one hope for the travel industry in 2025?
