These are our favorite, tried-and-true travel gear and home life items that have stood the test of time. With 8 people in our home or when we travel, we try to only purchase items that are really worth their cost (and their travel weight). I hope this helps you, too!

REI’s biggest sale of the year is an amazing time to pick up some high quality gear at an affordable price. Below are some favorite items on big sale. Members can also use the code ANNIV2025 for 20% off a full-price item and an outlet item. (It’s only $30 for a lifetime membership, and you get lots of perks like this coupon. And right now, you get a $30 bonus card with a $50 purchase!)

I’ve also shared lots of other favorites in the below blog posts.

My beloved Dime clean skincare is a huge 30% off for Memorial Day with the code LOCALPASSPORTFAMILY. I especially love the blue facial oil – it keeps my skin super clear and moisturized, especially when traveling. I also really love the dewy day cream, and my teens love the jelly cleanser. I stocked up on my favorite items that I mix in with my favorite Crude Oil cleanser (LOCALPASSPORTFAMILY will get you 20% off there).

I also super love Biossance clean skincare. I always use a mix of these items and my Dime favorites. Here are some of my faves:

I’ve found so many smoking deals at the J. Crew Factory site! Some of my favorite tops are from there. I got a very similar top to this last year and have worn it tons and tons. I’m purchasing this and this for summer!

Target is having a huge sale on clothing & swimwear for the whole fam. Perfect time to get these summer items if you’re looking.

My very favorite brow & lash serums (that saved my eyelashes after they started falling out after having baby S) is on super sale and my code PREETHI15 stacks!

We adore our Rumpl puffy blanket – it’s warm and super easy to clean for taking outside, and packs down small. I perhaps love the Everywhere Mat even more – folds down super small, waterproof underside, a cinch to clean. Perfect for summer adventures.

I’ve been using these workout videos for years and I love how easy it is. You can filter by type of workout or length and it’s just so simple to have an easy option at home. It is absolutely WILD that you can get a year of access to classes for only 50 cents. It’ll initially show the $0.75 summer promo, but a pop up should come up a few seconds in that gives it to you for only $0.50.

You can also turn off auto renew with just a few clicks (click on your initials in the top right, then on membership and it’ll show the option to not auto renew)! Seriously no catch and it’s awesome.

I love the Boden style both for me and for my girls but it’s a bit pricey normally. But they currently have some huge discounts. All my favorite dresses are from here! I got this one a few months ago and have worn it nonstop – it’s been my go-to for several trips, too, because it’s super comfy and cute but also modest for churches and other religious sites. (I also love that Boden has tall and petite sizes – I have a really short torso so always need petite dresses!)

Brooklinen makes our favorite sheets/duvet sets. Dan and I have these on our bed and they’re truly the best sheets we’ve ever used (and we’ve tried quite a few). They’re super well made and high end without being astronomically priced, and I love the story of how this husband-and-wife team got their business started.

The Guardian bikes are our very favorite ones for kids. They are truly unmatched when it comes to safety and durability, and have the best customer service, too. More about why we love them here.

These bikes almost never go on sale, but they’re currently up to 33% off!

I’ve talked many times before about how much we love our Beddy’s zip up bedding. I will honestly never again do bunk beds without these – they make life so much easier. I also really love them on mine and Dan’s bed in the back of the RV so they don’t slide around and make a small space look neat and tidy.

They’re having a sale of buy one, get one 50% off for Memorial Day so it’s a great time to purchase if you’ve been considering them.

My fave denim, forever and always.

We adore these jammies and swimsuits and they’re the only ones that have lasted through SIX KIDS.

We really love the Gabb phone and watches to be in touch with our kids when necessary and helpful, but while not providing them a bunch of access they don’t need. These devices allow our kiddos to call and text, but don’t allow images, Internet, etc. (More about our experience with the Gabb devices here.)

Code PASSPORT should automatically be applied.

I got a pair of Sunski sunglasses last year and have loved them. I have a fairly narrow face and have never in my life been able to find sunglasses that don’t slide off my face constantly.

We’ve had a Craftsy subscription for about 3 years and it’s so awesome. There are soooo many different options for online classes for adults & kids – drawing, painting, sewing, cake decorating, paper airplane making, yoga, and so much more. I love having this in my pocket for school holidays or rainy days. Definitely worth less than a dollar to have the option!

H&M is my go-to for my kids’ clothes. The Euro cuts work much better on my narrow kiddos, and I like that they have a “conscious” line, as well, and have times when you can bring old clothes to recycle. They rarely have sitewide sales, so it’s a great time to pick up summer essentials or to get ready for fall and school clothes.

Backcountry is doing a big sale with tons of outdoor gear items included. It’s a great time to look for items for summer season or thinking ahead to cold weather. Get up to 30% off plus an extra 20% off sale items!

This is one of the best sales of the year from Hanna. Tons of really quality clothing at huge discounts.

Old Navy is having one of their biggest sales of the year. So many huge deals on clothing, swimsuits, pajamas, and more for everyone in the family.

I looove all the Rifle Paper Company prints and they’re having a sale on the whole site of 25% off, including an extra 25% off the sale items. Here are some favorites:

Our favorite bath and skincare items are on sale! They are our favorites because they are super gentle (even safe for teeny babies), have clean ingredients, and smell amazing. They only have sitewide sales a couple times a year so that’s always when I stock up. Here are some of our favorites:

A bunch of other places are having great sales. I’m including my affiliate link to each store below. That means that if you make a purchase after clicking any of the links on this post (even if you purchase something on a site to which I did not directly link), I’ll earn a small commission. This does not change your price.

I never want to encourage you to make purchases you don’t need/want, but am very grateful when you use my links for purchases you’re already making. I hope this is helpful in sharing some of our favorites that are genuinely useful to our family, and hope they’re helpful to you, too!

This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you click my link but does not change your price.
