The best deal we’ve seen on the new iPad 11 takes $50 off the tablet’s retail price of $349. That drops the entry-level tablet to its best price yet: $299 in all colors. That’s only a 99 cents less than we saw last month, but at least it’s not going up.

The budget iPad, which launched in March, offers solid performance for basic tasks like surfing the web, streaming videos and handling email. Plus, it comes with a welcome boost over the iPad 10’s base level of storage.

This post contains affiliate links. It’s a great option for watching videos, checking emails, surfing the web and more.

When Apple CEO Steve Jobs demoed the first iPad in 2010, the tablet made waves in the tech world. Everybody wanted that thin slab of glass that seemed like the ultimate magical computing device. When the original iPad went on sale later that year, it set records for Apple. Since then, Apple has continually raised the bar with regular upgrades. (The company also introduced three new models: iPad Air, iPad Pro and iPad mini).

The entry-level iPad in this deal still delivers excellent performance and value, with Apple’s typical premium hardware design. It’s the right choice for anyone looking for a device for consuming content, performing basic tasks and playing Apple Arcade games.

If you need a new iPad, this deal delivers a quality Apple tablet at a sizable savings.

This deal on the latest version of the budget iPad lands you one of Apple’s most popular tablets. This year’s iPad 11 comes with a faster A16 processor and doubles the base storage capacity to 128KB. Otherwise, the tablet maintains the same basic specs as the iPad 10.

But it’s certainly no slouch. The 11-inch screen is much better for work or play than the 9.7-inch displays in older iPads. Still, the computer remains very portable, making even the slimmest MacBook feel heavy. The A16 chip easily handles web browsing, email, games and more. As a bonus, the front-facing camera is as good as the ones in much pricier models, making the iPad 11 the real deal for video chatting. The Cult of Mac review calls it “a brilliant product for the price.”

Perhaps the biggest surprise is that the A16 processor does not support Apple Intelligence, the perhaps overhyped suite of AI features.

The tablet comes in four colors: silver, blue, pink and yellow. Curiously, Amazon has different prices for each color option, so shop carefully. The best deal is for the blue and yellow variants.

Buy from: Amazon

    Best budget tablet

Apple’s entry-level tablet gets a solid upgrade, with a welcome boost to the base model’s storage.
