In 2025, so far, I’ve read 302 books.

The breakdown is:
16- Adult novels
13- Adult non-fiction
17- Graphic novels
35- Middle Grade novels
216- Picture Books and Board Books
5- Young Adult novels
of which
41- Nonfiction Picture Books
36- Audio Books
9- Books by Filipino Authors and/or Illustrators
58- Books by LGBTQ+ Authors and/or Illustrators

""
Anyway, despite the fact I’ve been horrible at reviewing the majority of the books I’ve read this year, I’m still managing to get a post out every week. I actually did two posts last week. One of them is inviting people to join the Reading the Rainbow Challenge. I hope you check it out!

Now for the reviews…

"RainbowRainbow Boy and the Pride Parade by Taylor Rouanzion

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A fun and positive story about being ok feeling different with some counting elements thrown in. I really enjoyed it and will seek out the first book in the series.

"LittleLittle Big Man by Varian Johnson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A sweet story of a father and a son working out the new dynamics of a new larger family- each doing their part to make others lives easier and still finding quality time to spend together.

"Papa'sPapa’s Coming Home by Chasten Glezman Buttigieg
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Two kids with the help of their Daddy try to figure out the best way to welcome home their Papa. Hilarious and heartwarming.

"StuckStuck by Kayla Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another enjoyable addition to Kayla Miller’s series this one set back in camp as featured in the earlier book-well- Camp. Olive finds herself caught between two feuding friends and also competing against other campers to try and get their idea chosen to upgrade the camp.

You can view all my reviews over on The StoryGraph and Goodreads. Please consider supporting independent bookstores when you want to buy any of the books I’ve mentioned via Bookshop.org or Libro.fm.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Happy Reading!
