The plot thickens once again! OK, maybe not… as Eastasiasoft have announced that they will be releasing Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 physically and digitally onto the Nintendo Switch with English language (audio & text) support during September 2025. The downside (once again)? is that it will only be released in Asia.

As such this news realistically only applies to Asian markets, but if (like me) you’ve been wanting to own Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 on the Nintendo Switch then you can easily import the physical version from Play-Asia (when pre-orders begin later this week) and still be able to play it on your UK console.

So why exactly am I posting Asian-only game news on a UK outlet (once again)? Well that’s because the western (Europe and North American) release of the game was cancelled due to “not complying with Nintendo guidelines”. As such, this Asian release will be the only way to enjoy the game on Nintendo Switch platforms in English. At the time it’s not known if anything has been changed, but Eastasiasoft generally release unaltered products.

About: In the year 20XX, Gamindustri faces a dire crisis! Ever since the advent of ASIC, the Arfoire Syndicate of International Crime, morality has all but vanished. As much as 80 percent of all students are rumored to worship a being known as Arfoire, the authorities have chosen to turn a blind eye to the threat. Thus did Gamindustri fall into complete and utter disarray, with the CPUs nowhere to be found!

It falls to Neptune’s younger sister Nepgear, along with IF and Compa to investigate what happened to Neptune and the rest of their friends. Will the goddesses and goddess candidates be able to reclaim their world from ASIC’s grasp, or will they be forced to wander the Gamindustri Graveyard forever? Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 SISTERS GENERATION is a remake of the cult classic JRPG series’ second entry, now with all prior extras included, making it the definitive way to enjoy the game for newcomers and long-time fans alike!

In addition to the game being released physically (as a Standard Edition) and digitally (through the Nintendo eShop in Asia) a limited edition version will also be made available exclusively through Play-Asia. This Limited Edition will contain a copy of the game (on a physical cartridge) alongside a selection of interesting physical goodies, of which are outlined below.

Limited Edition content:

As it stands Eastasiasoft plan to release Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 physically and digitally onto the Nintendo Switch in Asia during September 2025. A release date has not been mentioned, but this Asia release of the game will feature English audio and text support (and looks to be the same text/audio as released previously on Windows PC & PS Vita versions of the game). Further details about this Asia release can be found on the official Eastasiasoft website.
