A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed by IndiGo, <\/span>Delta Air Lines<\/span>, Air France-KLM, and Virgin Atlantic connecting IndiGo with Europe and North America. Linking IndiGo with several cities in North America and Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

The signed MoU<\/a> contains plans to build industry-leading partnerships between North America, <\/span>Europe, and<\/span> India. This will connect India with Europe and North America. India\u2019s aviation market is currently growing quite rapidly, especially with its largest airline\u2019s previous initiatives that have proven quite successful. With the signed MoU, India, which is at the <\/span>centre<\/span> of the MoU contract, will be able to offer travellers more options. Pieter Elbers, CEO of IndiGo, said:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This partnership represents another important milestone to pursue commercial synergies, operational excellence and innovation. We are particularly excited to start our long-haul expansion from this summer and connect with our partners\u2019 networks to provide greater access to Europe and North America. This strategic partnership enables a compelling combined customer proposition in the form of comprehensive intercontinental connectivity, seamless experience and great loyalty value. It also lays the groundwork for us to exchange best practices in areas of technology, operational excellence and service delivery.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

By joining IndiGo\u2019s domestic network to Delta\u2019s presence in North America, Air France-KLM\u2019s presence in Europe and the United Kingdom (UK), including Virgin Atlantic\u2019s transatlantic presence, customers will be able to access more and have better experience when travelling across continents. The signed MoU links IndiGo with several cities such as the <\/span>United States<\/span> (US), Canada, Europe, and links Delta, Air France-KLM, and Virgin Atlantic with India. Based in Tremblay-en-France, France, Air France-KLM is a French-Dutch multinational airline with more than 320 destinations. It operates the largest transatlantic joint venture along with <\/span>Delta Air Lines<\/span> and Virgin Atlantic and has its own loyalty program, containing more than 26 million members called Flying Blue. The airline is part of SkyTeam, an alliance with 19 airlines that provide passengers with a better travel experience. IndiGo has been in partnership with <\/span>Air France-KLM<\/span> and Virgin Atlantic since 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

With over 290 destinations on six continents, Delta Air Lines is a leading airline based in Atlanta, Georgia. It has nine operating hubs and has been <\/span>recognised<\/span> as North America\u2019s most on-time airline in 2024. It has also been <\/span>recognised<\/span> by J.D. Power for being the number one in First\/Business and Premium Economy Passenger Satisfaction. With IndiGo\u2019s partnership with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic, it creates an opportunity for IndiGo to connect to Delta Air Lines, allowing customers access to Delta\u2019s large transatlantic network. According to a statement by IndiGo, Delta Air Lines will resume services to India between Atlanta and Delhi, subject to government approval.<\/span><\/p>\n
