Sony has announced that it will be holding a State of Play event this week, just before the insanity of Summer Game Fest kicks off.

If you want to see what Sony and PlayStation is up to these days, the State of Play is happening tomorrow, 4th June. 10pm UK time, for me and my countryfolk. That’s 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST.

Sony hasn’t mentioned any specific about the show itself, meaning just about anything could happen. The only thing confirmed is that it will run 40+ minutes.

Well, we know that Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Yotei is scheduled for an October 2nd launch, which just so happens to be my birthday! With four months to go, this might be a good time to provide a better look at the game, perhaps followed up in another few months by a more in-depth dive.

There’s a reasonably chance of seeing the PS5 exclusive Death Stranding 2 make an appearance as well. Keep your expectations in check, though, because Kojima Productions are holding their on On The Beach showcase on Sunday, so any appearance at the State of Play will likely be a tease.

We also have Housemarque’s follow up to Returnal which is due out next year. Saros could turn up, although it might be too early for anything more than a glimpse.

So What Can We Expect?
