All four will enjoy \u201cextra liquidity from the company,\u201d Garay added. <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>While Augur can be too complicated and time consuming for the average user, we\u2019re building a user-friendly interface that abstracts away the complexity of cryptocurrencies and makes investing in prediction markets as engaging and frictionless as investing in coins or stocks.\u201d \u2013 Garay<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">As announced in Guesser\u2019s blog post on Thursday, there were a total of three funds involved in the $1.1 million seed round. Co-leading the raise was <b>Version One<\/b> \u2013 which has previously invested in the likes of <b>Coinbase<\/b>, <b>Blockstack (STX)<\/b>, <b>Celo<\/b>, <b>CryptoKitties<\/b>, and <b>Lolli<\/b> \u2013 and <b>Compound<\/b>, a New York-based, technology-focused fund that has previously backed many projects native to the crypto industry including <b>Casa<\/b>, <b>Livepeer (LPT)<\/b>, <b>CryptoKitties<\/b>, <b>Mattereum<\/b>, <b>Orchid<\/b>, and <b>Kadena<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Publishing a <a href=\"https:\/\/versionone.vc\/announcing-our-investment-in-guesser-the-easiest-way-to-engage-with-prediction-markets\/\"><span class=\"s2\">blog post<\/span><\/a> to elaborate on why Version One invested in Guesser, founding partner <b>Boris Wertz <\/b>pointed out the fact \u201cthe Guesser team is based in Madrid and European regulators are much more welcoming to crypto start-ups and online betting activity;\u201d a key challenge his venture capital firm identified upon learning about Augur midway through last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Guesser\u2019s other seed investor was <b>Boost VC<\/b>, the San Mateo-based accelerator co-founded and managed by <b>Adam Draper<\/b> \u2013 son of renowned venture capitalist, <b>Tim Draper<\/b>.
