Breaking: CBI attaches Properties worth over 7 Crores of IT Officer in Disproportionate Assets case<\/strong><\/p>\n In a case involving disproportionate assets, the Special Judge, Anti Corruption, CBI Court No. 1, Ghaziabad, issued an ad-interim judgment on June 2, 2025, allowing the seizure of 14 properties owned by the Additional Commissioner of Income Tax at the time.<\/p>\n On September 22, 2022, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a case against the then-Additional Commissioner of Income Tax for Disproportionate Assets. The accused allegedly engaged in corrupt activities and amassed disproportionate assets of Rs. 7,52,61,831\/-to his known source of income, which he is unable to adequately account for, while serving as a public servant in income tax offices in New Delhi, Moradabad, Lucknow, and other locations from January 1, 2008, to June 30, 2018.<\/p>\n 14 immovable assets valued at crores were discovered to have been bought or possessed by the accused and his family members over the course of the investigation.
