One of the first shots I was given was the one at the front of the reel above &#8211; Tulio and Miguel do a high five, then a chest bump &#8211; then Tulio picks up Chel, spins her around, and drops her. \u00a0A complicated shot. \u00a0How to get it done?<\/div>\n<p><b>Start with a Video Camera<\/b><\/p>\n<div>Dreamworks had a video camera for the animators to use (we had no iPhones back then), and I persuaded two Canadian animators <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm2200868\/?ref_=fn_all_nme_1\" target=\"_blank\">Kyle Jefferson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1968931\/?ref_=fn_all_nme_1\" target=\"_blank\">Cameron Hood<\/a> to act out the scene.\u00a0 Both were extroverts, and I figured they&#8217;d be up for it &#8211; and they were.
