It\u2019s the new Negroni \u2013\u00a0the cocktail everyone orders but no one\u2019s sure they actually like. Now you can decide in the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.boozist.com\/diageo-premade-cocktails\/\"> <strong>privacy of your <\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boozist.com\/diageo-premade-cocktails\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>kitchen<\/strong><\/a> \u2013\u00a0no peer pressure \u2013 thanks to Cheeky\u00a0Decaf\u00a0Espresso\u00a0Syrup. <\/p>\n<p>Aside from trendiness, I\u2019m convinced the primary appeal of an espresso martini is the late night caffeine boost. I know that\u2019s why I used to shoot Patron XO Cafe, and that\u2019s a meager 10mg of caffeine. An energy injection likely isn\u2019t a top priority, though, when you\u2019re sitting at home in your fancy pants. Neither is making fresh espresso. <\/p>\n<p>Cheeky\u2019s decaf espresso syrup is a collaboration with Brooklyn\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.partnerscoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0<strong>Partners Coffee<\/strong><\/a>. It\u2019s made of just three ingredients \u2013 decaffeinated coffee, cane sugar and gum arabic. Those latter two are what deliver the sweetness and texture that makes for a great espresso martini. And the coffee\u2026 well that delivers the coffee flavor. Just mix a couple ounces of liquor with an ounce of syrup and you\u2019re got yourself a cocktail.<\/p>\n<p>Admittedly, I actually wish I had a bunch of flavored vodkas on hand for once. It\u2019d be an interesting ride with things like chocolate, whipped cream, caramel, etc. And contrary to what all the previous words in this article would make you think \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.boozist.com\/caffeinated-club-vodka\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I\u2019m a caffeine fiend<\/a> so I\u2019d be more likely to use Cheeky\u2019s traditional espresso syrup. That\u2019s me, though.
