Late last year, its Irish arm entered merger talks with William Fry, one of the country\u2019s \u201cBig Six\u201d corporate firms \u2014 a deal that would have created one of Ireland\u2019s largest law firms.<\/p>\n<p>Eversheds has now announced that its Dublin and Belfast offices will operate as part of a \u201cfully integrated\u201d approach under its international LLP. Somewhat confusingly, the legacy Irish firm has also been branded as Eversheds since 2011.<\/p>\n<div class=\"c-single-post__section c-single-post__notice c-single-post__notice--emphasised\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legalcheek.com\/the-firms-most-list\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">The 2025\u00a0<strong><em>Legal Cheek<\/em> Firms Most List<\/strong><\/a><\/div>\n<p>In March this year, partner Pamela O\u2019Neill left Eversheds Ireland amid the talks with William Fry. She has now been tipped to lead the Eversheds Sutherland international presence in Dublin, and the Belfast office by partner Gareth Planck. <\/p>\n<p>Questions remain about what will happen to Eversheds\u2019 legacy Ireland staff \u2014 including current managing partner of Ireland (Dublin and Belfast), Alan Connell.<\/p>\n<p>Eversheds\u2019 international chief executive Keith Froud said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI am pleased to announce this key, strategic investment underlining our long-term commitment to Ireland, which is an important market for our clients and our firm.
