One of Scotland\u2019s younger distilleries, Tomintoul was founded in 1964, mainly to produce malt whisky for blending.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4fe637fc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4fe637fc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tQuite a light and subtle nose. There\u2019s fruity notes of apples, peach, apricot, and pear balanced against cereal barley and a slightly metallic polished note.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-31ff4ce8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"31ff4ce8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSmooth, although with an oily minerality mouthfeel. Initially slightly bland and watery, but holding on the tongue reveals some delicate flavours, peach and apricot balanced against toasted oak and vanilla. This gives way to a little spicy sweetness, reminiscent of chilli chocolate.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3ef5d6dc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3ef5d6dc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMedium.
