{"id":266473,"date":"2025-06-01T05:25:20","date_gmt":"2025-06-01T05:25:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/alcohol\/exclusive-news-and-research-on-the-wine-spirits-and-beer-business-152\/"},"modified":"2025-06-01T05:25:20","modified_gmt":"2025-06-01T05:25:20","slug":"exclusive-news-and-research-on-the-wine-spirits-and-beer-business-152","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=266473","title":{"rendered":"Exclusive news and research on the wine, spirits and beer business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"\">\n<h2>Trump Administration Granted Stay In Tariff Case<\/h2>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"posted\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shankennewsdaily.com\/2025\/05\/30\/\" title=\"Click to see that day's daily archive\">May 30, 2025<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A day after importers won a big victory when the United States Court of International Trade struck down much of the Trump administration\u2019s tariff program, a federal appeals court granted a stay which will allow the tariffs to remain in effect for the time being.<span id=\"more-37588\"\/> The Trump administration had planned to petition the Supreme Court for emergency relief in the case if the stay was not granted by the appeals court.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, a second federal court ruled against the administration\u2019s authority to impose broad tariffs yesterday. Similar to the ruling from Wednesday, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia found that the administration overstepped when it imposed its sweeping tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). That ruling is subject to a stay of two weeks, which could be extended further.
