It is incredibly remarkable to see now over 40 chapters have developed since ASIFA\u2019s inception (and more continuing to be created) and here we are 65 years later uniting back to where it all started. <\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.animationscoop.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Annecy-2025.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"460\" height=\"245\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-22483\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.animationscoop.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Annecy-2025.jpg 460w, https:\/\/www.animationscoop.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Annecy-2025-300x160.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px\" \/><span id=\"more-22482\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>ASIFA-Hollywood is the world\u2019s foremost professional organization dedicated to promoting the Art of Animation and celebrating the people who create it. Today, ASIFA-Hollywood, the largest chapter of the international organization ASIFA, supports a wide range of animation activities and preservation efforts through its membership. Current initiatives include the Animation Archive, Animation Aid Foundation, Animation Educators\u2019 Forum (AEF), film preservation, open-source support, special events, screenings and the annual Annie Awards. <\/p>\n<p>\tCreated in 1972 by veteran voice talent June Foray, the Annie Awards have grown in scope and stature for over five decades.
