diced\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n4 garlic cloves, minced\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n2 tbsp tomato paste\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n1 tbsp flour\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n1 cup red wine (optional but delicious)\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n2 cups beef or lamb stock\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n2 sprigs rosemary\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n4 sprigs thyme\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n2 bay leaves\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n1.5 kg potatoes, peeled and chopped\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n100 g butter\n        <\/li>\n<li>\n100 ml milk (or cream)\n        <\/li>\n<li>\nSalt and pepper, to taste\n        <\/li>\n<li>\nOptional: 1 egg yolk (for richness and golden colour)\n        <\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rk_directions rk_column\">\n<h2 class=\"rk_column_heading\">\n                      <span>Directions<\/span><br \/>\n                    <\/h2>\n<ol id=\"recipe-preparation\">\n<li id=\"step-1\">\n<p><strong>Preheat smoker to 150\u00b0C (300\u00b0F)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-2\">\n<p>Season lamb shoulder generously with Lane\u2019s Black Magic and Sunday Roast.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-3\">\n<p>Place Lamb shoulder on to the smoker and cook for 2 -3 hours until you\u2019re happy with the bark. <\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-4\">\n<p>In a pot, add onion, carrots, and celery. Saut\u00e9 5\u20137 minutes until softened.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-5\">\n<p>Stir in garlic and tomato paste. Cook 1\u20132 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-6\">\n<p>Sprinkle in flour and stir to coat the veg. Cook for 1 minute.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-7\">\n<p>Add in juices from wrapped lamb.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-8\">\n<p>Add stock, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, thyme, and bay leaves. Return lamb to pot.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-9\">\n<p>Shred lamb and discard bones and fat. Simmer sauce to thicken slightly, then return lamb to the mix. Taste and adjust seasoning.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-10\">\n<p>Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (about 20 min)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-11\">\n<p>Drain and mash with butter and milk until smooth and creamy. Season to taste. Stir in egg yolk if using (adds a golden top when baked).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li id=\"step-12\">\n<p>Preheat oven to 200\u00b0C (390\u00b0F).Spread the lamb mixture into a large baking dish.Spoon mashed potatoes over the top, smoothing with a spoon or fork.
