St\u00f8vring, perhaps best known for their fun and quirky macOS apps including holiday desktop lighting effects app <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2024\/12\/04\/festivitas-festive-lights-macos\/\">Festivitas<\/a> and micro-aggression curing app <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/2025\/04\/23\/smash-smash-app-macos\/\">Smash Smash<\/a>, appears to be hard at work once again on yet another app that\u2019s sure to go viral among Mac users.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1039549\" src=\"https:\/\/media.idownloadblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Stovring-Accelerated-Input-app-macOS.jpg\" alt=\"Accelerated Input AI text replacement.\" width=\"840\" height=\"678\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media.idownloadblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Stovring-Accelerated-Input-app-macOS.jpg 1664w, https:\/\/media.idownloadblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Stovring-Accelerated-Input-app-macOS-768x620.jpg 768w, https:\/\/media.idownloadblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Stovring-Accelerated-Input-app-macOS-1536x1241.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/media.idownloadblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Stovring-Accelerated-Input-app-macOS-1200x969.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Citing a thread <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/simonbs\/status\/1925643822639317160\">shared<\/a> by St\u00f8vring on social media platform \ud835\udd4f (formerly Twitter), their latest creation is an app called Accelerated Input that lets them invoke a shortcut for an interface providing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/tag\/ai\">AI<\/a>-centric options for transforming bodies of text to suit a specific need for the end user.<\/p>\n<p>In one of the posts, St\u00f8vring shares a screenshot of highly specialized commands that they created for their app, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Correcting text spelling &amp; formatting<\/li>\n<li>Transforming text into pirate speak<\/li>\n<li>Transforming text into coworker-friendly communication<\/li>\n<li>Transforming text into Emojis<\/li>\n<li>Simplifying text<\/li>\n<li>Expanding text<\/li>\n<li>Transforming text into a posh accent<\/li>\n<li>Transforming text into stand-up comedian-style speech<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Users appear to be able to add or remove commands at their leisure, naming them what they wish and then entering a prompt that will ultimately tell the AI what it\u2019s supposed to do with the text. In the case of the \u201cTo Coworkers\u201d command, St\u00f8vring has told the AI to make the text suitable for coworkers without being too formal, but while retaining all original Emojis.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that while AI tools like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/tag\/apple-intelligence\">Apple Intelligence<\/a> can already do these kinds of things in certain apps, St\u00f8vring plans to make their app more accessible by way of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idownloadblog.com\/tag\/shortcuts\">shortcut<\/a>. This will make the tool accessible from any app, without having to re-prompt Apple Intelligence or any other AI tool for what you want since you\u2019ve already pre-configured commands beforehand.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re excited to continue following St\u00f8vring\u2019s progress on the Accelerated Input app, and hope to have a moment to try it out when it becomes available to all Mac users.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t<!-- .col-lg-9 --><\/p><\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Software developer Simon B.
