Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 28 May 2025 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Dealing With The Love Of Money

TOPIC: Dealing With The Love Of Money (Seeds Of Destiny 28 May 2025)

SCRIPTURE: For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 1Timothy 6:10

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Money is a wonderful servant but a very terrible task master.

MESSAGE:

Our God is a God of plan and purpose. He has a plan and purpose for everyone He created. So, you are on earth for a purpose and for that reason, you must make up your mind to live your life to the very best, to the fullest.

However, there are enemies of purpose, enemies of destiny that must be dealt with if we must fulfil our destiny. Many people would have been at higher realms than where they are today if not that some enemies of destiny crippled their lives. That is why today, we are looking at one of the deadly enemies of destiny, which is the lifestyle of greed, the love of money.

Beloved, note these about money.

  1. Evil is rooted in the love of money (1Timothy 6:10). The love of money is the root of all evil. The love of money, greed, destroyed Lot’s wife, Achan, Gehazi, and Judas Iscariot.

  2. Money is a wonderful servant but a very terrible task master. Money answers all things, but it has the ability to control people’s lives and actions.

  3. The love of money is a major killer of the love of God (Matthew 6:24)

  4. The love of money is the killer of conscience. Some people are trading in human spare parts, killing, and robbing people to get money because the love of money has killed their conscience.

Sometime ago, a girl came and dropped a car within the church premises. She said, “I won’t drive this car again.” When she was asked, why? She said, “It was sin, fornication that gave me the car; I want to hand it out. I am dropping it; I can’t drive blood car.” Terrible! The love of money and greed can push people into any despicable acts.

Now, what is the therapy for the love of money?

    1. Ask God to kill your love for money.

    2. Embrace the lifestyle of generosity. Nothing destroys greed like giving. Giving to God and man kills the love of money.

    3. Give God the first place in your financial life (Proverbs 3:9). When you put God above money, money will find its level.

Remember this: Nothing destroys greed like giving.

      ASSIGNMENT (S):

      1. Ask God to kill the love of money in your heart if money already has a grip on you.

      2. Maintain the lifestyle of giving.

      3. Flee the temptation of doing anything, however crooked, just to get money.

PRAYER: Lord, I refuse to serve mammon or be controlled by it. I will serve and worship You alone, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: Deadly Enemies of Destiny

        DAILY BIBLE READING: Psalm 58-60

QUOTE: God will never bless the man whose character will change because of money. Culled from the Book, 21 Uncommon Keys to Financial Overflow by Dr Paul Enenche.

AMAZING FACT: The reason why the moon shines like a light in the sky is because the sun shines on it. We can see the moon much clearer at night when we can’t see the sunlight. With this, we understand that the moon doesn’t make its own light.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive deliverance from the love of money today in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities.
