Matt Standridge<\/strong> will be the new morning meteorologist at Indianapolis, Indiana NBC affiliate WTHR<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He replaces longtime meteorologist Chuck Lofton<\/strong> (pictured right) who announced his retirement in January.<\/p>\n

\u201cMatt is an outstanding meteorologist with an authentic connection to our community,\u201d said Michael\u00a0Brouder<\/strong>, WTHR president and general manager. \u201cWhile Chuck leaves an extraordinary legacy, I\u2019m confident that Matt will\u00a0deliver weather forecasts with the same degree of precision, accuracy and care that our viewers have come to expect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Standridge joined the WTHR meteorology team in 2024. Before that, he was chief meteorologist at KFSM, WTHR\u2019s sister station serving Tornado Alley in Arkansas and Oklahoma.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cGetting to follow in Chuck Lofton\u2019s footsteps\u00a0is truly an honor,\u201d Standridge said. \u201cAn opportunity like this only comes around once every 40 years. I am incredibly grateful to be doing what I love, in the\u00a0place I love most, while serving the community that shaped who I am today.\u201d<\/p>\n
