{"id":258294,"date":"2025-05-26T17:20:16","date_gmt":"2025-05-26T17:20:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/activist\/the-day-freedom-ends-activist-post\/"},"modified":"2025-05-26T17:20:16","modified_gmt":"2025-05-26T17:20:16","slug":"the-day-freedom-ends-activist-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=258294","title":{"rendered":"The Day Freedom Ends &#8211; Activist Post"},"content":{"rendered":" \r\n<br><div>\n\n                                        \n\n\n<p>In 1776, the Americans had a wonderful new idea for a republic in which each state (a common word for \u201ccountry\u201d in those days) would exist independently of the others, whilst a federal government would be in place to provide a few additional services, such as the creation of a common currency and joint protection from foreign invasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, those who sought to be all powerful were at work almost immediately, hoping to increase the power of the federal government to the point that the United States would be run as a conglomerate. By 1860, this had already reached the stage that the president denied the right of states to leave the Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US later became the model for a new kind of empire. Until the 20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0century, empires were often oppressive, with kings who ruled over a country and conquered other states. This was true right until the decline of the British Empire.<\/p><div class=\"g g-1\"><div class=\"g-single a-16\"><a class=\"gofollow\" data-track=\"MTYsMSwxLDYw\" href=\"https:\/\/courses.livefree.academy\/a\/2147989502\/NoWDgfiB\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"850\" height=\"500\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/Trinity-Banner-850-x-500-Button-min-1.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Since that time, the empire concept has not by any means gone away. It has just changed its marketing strategy. Today, the trend is toward collective unions patterned after the American model\u2014the illusion that democracy is in full flower and that \u201cthe people\u201d are in charge. This, of course, is Freedom in name alone. The propaganda soothes the more gullible of us into imagining that a modern empire is less oppressive than the empires of old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-rape-of-liberty\"><strong>The Rape of Liberty<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Rights are regularly stripped away, generally to \u201cprotect the people from terrorism.\u201d This has been most evident in the US, where, since 9\/11, the country has devolved dramatically into a\u00a0<strong>police state<\/strong>. (As second US President John Adams correctly stated, \u201c<em>Those who trade Liberty for Security have neither.<\/em>\u201d)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Those of us who are not US citizens tend to view the \u201cRape of Liberty\u201d presently being carried out in much of the First World (and in the US in particular) the way we might watch a violent storm from the windows of our (hopefully) secure home, all the while hoping that the storm is not so strong as to destroy\u00a0<em>our<\/em>\u00a0home in the bargain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We watch as, in recent years, rights are stripped away and the population is ordered to comply with a host of new restrictions that turn the citizenry into obedient cattle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increasingly humiliating searches in order to be allowed to travel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passport confiscation from those whose tax payments \u201c<em>may<\/em>\u00a0be in question\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increasing restrictions on moving assets abroad<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increasing taxation on moving assets abroad<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increasing financial penalties for the renunciation of citizenship<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increasing militarization of police<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increasing indoctrination in the belief that powerful evil external forces are afoot that may destroy the country if they are not stopped by dramatic military action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This is, of course, a shortlist, and the reader can add many more without bothering to think very hard. But the list should serve as a reminder as to the\u00a0<em>direction<\/em>\u00a0in which the US is headed as a nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Americans are being taught to be in fear of some faceless outside force and told that they must be prepared to give up their principle freedoms in order to be safe. Above all, however, they\u00a0<em>must not<\/em>\u00a0decide to\u00a0<em>exit\u00a0<\/em>the US. Although the borders will open up for others to come in, they will\u00a0<em>close<\/em>\u00a0for those seeking to leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But surely, at some point, Americans will decide that too much liberty is being lost for the small increase in actual safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-tipping-point\"><strong>The Tipping Point<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>For those of us watching this charade from the outside, it is clear that, at some point, all the fear mongering by the US government will not be sufficient to justify the now-Hitleresque controls that are increasing each year. At some point, the government will need to provide justification\u2014a demonstration that the threat is \u201cfor real.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will mean that an event that is sufficient to justify a sudden, dramatic increase in tyranny would be necessary. For the sake of argument, let\u2019s say that an \u201cattack\u201d occurs on US soil\u2014similar in nature to the 9\/11 attack. The US government immediately announces who was responsible for the attack and that the US is now \u201cat war\u201d with that group or groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They state that their intelligence has identified several more planned attacks and that all of the US is in imminent danger. The unquestioned, most important consideration is that Americans be protected from possible attacks, and all other considerations must be \u201ctemporarily\u201d sacrificed until the threat has been neutralised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Such an event would allow for the tipping point\u2014the effective lockdown of the country. Whilst there would be no \u201cBerlin Wall,\u201d there would be an \u201cIron Curtain.\u201d The armoured vehicles, the automatic weaponry, the combat gear (right down to the bayonets) must already be in place nationwide, ready to be deployed. The old \u201cserve and protect\u201d training must be gone and \u201criot control\u201d training must be fully in effect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And as it happens, these preparations\u00a0<em>are<\/em>\u00a0in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following such an event, it would be possible for the list above to change to the following one:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>No travel to other countries without written permission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confiscation of passports of all those who \u201cmay\u201d have terrorist contacts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Freezing of assets<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confiscation of some assets (particularly in banks) until proof can be provided that these were obtained legally and taxes on them have been paid<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Renunciation of citizenship declared a terrorist act<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Presidential declaration that the US is a legal battleground and all constitutional rights are suspended until further notice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dramatic expansion of police control<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regular televised indoctrination for citizens to report on the \u201csuspicious\u201d behaviour of any other person, including family members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-temporary-becomes-permanent\"><strong>Temporary Becomes Permanent<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Sounds Orwellian. And of course, it is. It worked well for others (Messrs. Hitler and Stalin come to mind), and if a population is properly prepped (as Americans have been), it should be accepted. After all, it\u2019s for the sake of safety and will only be temporary, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Possibly not. As Milton Friedman so correctly stated, \u201c<em>Nothing is so permanent as a temporary government program.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>So, if the above premise seems to the reader to be the logical outcome of the present direction of the government, what of the timing? Well, if we observe the rapidity at which the US is implementing its controls and we hazard a guess as to when they will become so overbearing that a dramatic event is\u00a0<em>necessary\u00a0<\/em>before full lockdown can be implemented, the reader can make his own guess. A year? Two years? Longer?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And again, the US is only the most extreme country of the First World in this regard. The EU is not far behind in its increasing controls. And other countries in the former \u201cfree\u201d world are instituting similar controls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Should the reader be a citizen of one of these countries, he might wish to weigh his options. He may decide that it is hopeless to escape. Or he might decide that he needs to escape, but he still has time. Or he may decide to \u201cgit while the gittin\u2019s good.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If he settles on the third conclusion, he would be well advised to plan an exit soon. If not, he may well find he has left the move too late and has unwittingly chosen to remain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Editor\u2019s Note: The political and economic climate is constantly changing\u2026 and not always for the better.
