Export Your Substack &amp; Patreon subscriber lists. Here\u2019s how.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-constant-vigilance\">Constant Vigilance!<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We work hard to earn peoples\u2019 subscriptions \u2013 it\u2019s so hard today to capture peoples\u2019 attentions in the nano-second level of focus of most people. The reality is, none of us truly owns these platforms where we cultivate subscribers, and we could easily someday see our content removed, and\/or our accounts even shut down. I have heard way too many horror stories, and work to avoid having it happen to me. Even if it\u2019s by mistake, it can result a massive dislocation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, Stripe, Substack\u2019s payment processor, can possibly get your account shut down. Video platform\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiemediatoday.com\/p\/odysee-says-no-stripes-censorious-kyc-hdwmt-143?r=539iu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Odysee decided to stop doing business with Stripe in January 2025<\/a>\u00a0over Stripe\u2019s demand for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/odysee.com\/@Odysee:8\/weredroppingstripe:e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ability to censor a creator off a platform<\/a>\u00a0due to the content not being in line with Stripe\u2019s \u201cpolicies.\u201d<\/p><div class=\"g g-1\"><div class=\"g-single a-19\"><a class=\"gofollow\" data-track=\"MTksMSwxLDYw\" href=\"https:\/\/www.livelongerformula.com\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Free-Masterclass-Ad-2-1.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Would You Do?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>If your account was \u201cdisappeared\u201d from Substack or Patreon, how would you let your subscribers know? If you were prepared, you wouldn\u2019t panic. It\u2019s sad reality in today\u2019s digital landscape that we need to be nomadic &amp; publish our content to multiple places, lest it be removed &amp; disappeared from the internet entirely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Export the lists. Back up everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Export Your Substack Subscriber List<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>From the creator dashboard\u00a0<em>on desktop<\/em>, click on the \u201csubscribers\u201d tab. Scroll down past the chart to the full list of ALL subscribers. To the far right, you\u2019ll see a 3-dot clickable menu. Click that, then scroll down to the \u201cexport\u201d button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"172\" src=\"https:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-51-1024x172.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-51-1024x172.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-51-300x50.png 300w, https:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-51-768x129.png 768w, https:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/image-51.png 1456w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br\/>It will create a text-based CSV-formatted file (comma separated values) which can be imported into a spreadsheet, database or another email program. Save the file to your hard drive, back it up in the cloud, &amp; if you\u2019re really crazy, put it on a USB drive and store it securely as a third backup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I like to export about once a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>TIP: set a reminder on your calendar to back up your contacts monthly<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Export Your Patreon Subscriber List<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When you log into the Patreon dashboard\u00a0<em>on desktop<\/em>, switch to the Creator profile. Click \u201cAudience\u201d on the left. You will see the complete list of everyone, current and not.
