Their collective efforts represent the most organized challenge to dollar hegemony in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Governor_of_the_Central_Bank_of_Iran\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mohammad Reza Farzin<\/a>\u00a0was clear about the fact that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cWe (BRICS members Iran and Russia) have entered into a currency agreement with Russia and fully removed the US dollar. Now we only trade in rubles and rials.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-commonwealth-of-independent-states-forms-dollar-free-zone\">Commonwealth of Independent States Forms Dollar-Free Zone<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Eleven CIS nations have announced plans to stop using the dollar, and they are currently conducting about 85% of cross-border transactions using local currencies instead of the US dollar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vladimir_Putin\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vladimir Putin<\/a>\u00a0said during a CIS meeting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>\u201cThe use of national currencies is widening in mutual payments. They not going to leave the dollar with me. Furthermore, many nations are creating alternative payment systems to reduce their vulnerability.
