A FAST PORK CHOP DINNER RECIPE<\/h2>\n

No jokes here, these super simple, Quick Skillet Pork Chops are the perfect dinner recipe. I\u2019m talking dinner ready in 15 minute from start to finish! Does it get any easier or faster than that? Pork chops are one of the more affordable cuts of meat (not cheap of course \u2013 absolutely nothing is cheap these days, right? ) but they can be a better deal if you can get them on sale or have the means to buy in bulk. I promise these are very easy to make, have great flavor and they go with practically any of your favorite side dishes. <\/p>\n

What to serve with Quick Skillet Pork Chops? <\/strong> <\/p>\n

I enjoy them with rice as you see in the pics, but they\u2019d also be great with pasta or Garlic Mashed Potatoes<\/a>. Pop a bag of those steamer veggies in the microwave when these pork chops are almost done and you\u2019ll have a complete meal!<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Is a cast iron skillet a requirement?<\/strong> <\/p>\n

No. I like making this in a cast iron skillet as the pork chops get a great golden color to them. However, you could use a different skillet, the chops just might not get as beautifully golden brown in color.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Can I double this recipe? <\/strong> <\/p>\n

Sure, you could double or even triple this. You\u2019ll have to work in batches to cook the pork chops, but this is an easy recipe to scale to feed more people. Great for making extra for meal prepping too. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Can I change up the seasoning combo?<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Certainly. This is just a basic seasoning but this recipe would work with any of your favorite seasoning blends to change it up (Mrs. Dash Herb Blend (for a salt free option); Cajun Seasoning (like Slap Ya Mama) or BBQ Seasoning)<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

Should I brine my pork chops first?<\/strong> <\/p>\n

You know I\u2019m generally all about simplicity with recipes. I didn\u2019t have a brining step with these pork chops to keep this recipe quick and simple. However, after making my Crispy Oven Baked Pork Chops<\/a> recently where I did brine them, it\u2019s something that I would recommend you try IF you have the time. Brining the pork chops helps lower the odds that your pork chops will dry out. Granted it\u2019s easier for them to dry out in the oven, but brining does help them stay juicy if you accidentally overcook them. To help avoid overcooking them, always use a meat thermometer <\/a>\u00a0(paid affiliate link)\u00a0to ensure they get to proper temperature and you pull them off the heat on time. Pork chops thickness can vary which means some cuts will cook faster than others.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

What\u2019s the best way to store and reheat Skillet Pork Chops?<\/strong> <\/p>\n

Keep leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Warm them up in a skillet on low heat or use the microwave for a quick reheating option.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

  • oil<\/strong> \u2013 use your preferred oil. Vegetable, olive or avocado oil can all be used. You just want one with a higher smoke point so it doesn\u2019t burn.<\/li>\n
  • thick-cut boneless pork chops<\/strong> \u2013 I think these are best to use when making pork chops in a skillet. There is less of a chance of them drying out. <\/li>\n
  • paprika<\/strong> \u2013 this is going to give it great color so don\u2019t skip!<\/li>\n
  • onion powder and garlic powder<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • salt and pepper<\/strong><\/li>\n
  • red pepper flakes<\/strong> \u2013 this is optional. I actually don\u2019t think this makes it spicy at all since they are so mild but obviously go with your perforce. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    HOW TO MAKE QUICK SKILLET PORK CHOPS:<\/h2>\n

    Add the oil to a skillet. Allow the oil to get hot over medium heat. This will take about 2-3 minutes.\u00a0Season both sides of the pork chops with all of the dried ingredients. Transfer the pork chops to the skillet. Cook each side for 2 to 6 minutes, depending on how thick they are. Thinner pork chops will take 2-3 minutes per side, whereas thicker pork chops will take 5-6 minutes per side. You want an internal temperature of 145\u00b0 F.<\/p>\n
