\u201cWork, save, retire someday\u2026 is that the whole story?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n It was almost embarrassing to admit. After all, I\u2019d achieved what so many people are still struggling for.<\/p>\n But the nagging feeling wouldn\u2019t go away.<\/p>\n What I didn\u2019t realize then was that I\u2019d hit a ceiling in my financial journey\u2026<\/strong>not because I was doing anything wrong, but because I\u2019d outgrown the very mindset that got me there.<\/p>\n I learned something that changed everything for me:<\/p>\n For years, I\u2019d operated with a preservation mindset.<\/p>\n Save more. Spend less. Avoid risk. Stay safe.<\/p>\n That mindset was exactly what I needed when I was climbing out of debt.<\/p>\n But now it was holding me back from what God had next.<\/strong><\/p>\n My breakthrough came when I realized I needed to make three fundamental shifts in how I thought about money:<\/p>\n My entire financial strategy had been built around protecting what I had.<\/p>\n But the parable of the talents (Matthew 25) showed me something profound \u2013 God rewards those who\u00a0multiply<\/em>\u00a0resources, not just those who\u00a0preserve<\/em>\u00a0them.<\/p>\n I started asking different questions.<\/p>\n Not just \u201cHow can I protect what I have?\u201d but \u201cHow can I grow what God has entrusted to me?\u201d<\/p>\n For years, I\u2019d avoided risk at all costs.<\/p>\n But as I studied Scripture, I noticed something:\u00a0Nearly every person God used took significant risks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Abraham left everything familiar. Moses confronted Pharaoh. David faced Goliath.<\/p>\n I began to see that avoiding\u00a0all<\/em>\u00a0risk wasn\u2019t faithful stewardship \u2013 it was fear disguised as wisdom.<\/p>\n I\u2019d become excellent at managing money according to conventional wisdom \u2013 tracking every dollar, maintaining control, following systems.<\/p>\n But I was still seeing resources through my limited human perspective.<\/p>\n To recognize opportunities that my spreadsheets couldn\u2019t calculate.<\/p>\n To make decisions based on eternal impact rather than just temporal protection.<\/p>\n That shift didn\u2019t happen overnight. There were plenty of false starts and mistakes along the way.<\/p>\n But as my thinking changed, new doors began to open.<\/p>\nThe mindset for a stable life isn\u2019t the same as the mindset for an\u00a0<\/strong>abundant<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0life<\/strong><\/h2>\n
