use.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>So if a broker offers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The first month\u2019s cover free<\/li>\n<li>Access to a second medical opinion<\/li>\n<li>The moon on a stick<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rest assured. You want to see quotes from all five insurers or get outta dodge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t want to see a quote from one particular insurer because this might mean the broker can only sell policies from that insurer.<\/p>\n<p>Tread carefully.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Do_they_offer_advice\"\/><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Do they offer advice?\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"\/><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Insurance is CONFUSING. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">I\u2019ve been in this game for a long time, and sometimes it still trips me up. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Especially if someone has a <a href=\"https:\/\/lion.ie\/life-insurance-medical-issues\/life-insurance-with-bad-health\/\">complicated medical history<\/a> or a j<a href=\"https:\/\/lion.ie\/life-insurance\/life-insurance-for-high-risk-jobs\/\">ob, that means they\u2019re a <\/a>high risk\u00a0to insurers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In your quest to take out a policy, you\u2019ll come across loads of jargon and <a href=\"https:\/\/lion.ie\/specified-illness-cover\/accelerated-serious-illness-cover\/\">terms that seem interchangeable<\/a>. So make sure your broker is on hand to explain.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Online brokers are handy if you\u2019re in perfect health. Who has time to find an envelope, buy a stamp and post a letter these days?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Don\u2019t get me wrong, you don\u2019t want to pay over the odds for this stuff, but if you have a health issue, you\u2019re never going to get that <em>cheap<\/em> quote you see online. You\u2019ll complete the application form in the expectation of that quote.
