Originally established to offer affordable leisure and short-haul options for Lufthansa passengers, Eurowings has developed into a major player in Europe\u2019s budget airline sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

The newest and oldest Eurowings aircraft<\/span><\/h3>\n

The newest aircraft in the Eurowings fleet is <\/span>D-AENI<\/span><\/a>, an <\/span>Airbus A320-251neo<\/span><\/a>, built in April 2024<\/span> (MSN 11753). Based in <\/span>Cologne (CGN)<\/span><\/a>, the aircraft regularly flies to destinations including <\/span>Zurich (ZRH)<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>London\u00a0 (LHR)<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Palma de Mallorca (PMI)<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The oldest narrowbody in the fleet is <\/span>D-ABNI<\/span><\/a>, an <\/span>Airbus A320-214<\/span><\/a>, built in January 2002 as<\/span> MSN 01717. This aircraft is typically based between cologne and <\/span>Munich (MUC)<\/span><\/a>, and operated flights to airports including <\/span>Barcelona (BCN)<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Edinburgh (EDI)<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Prague (PRG)<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The Eurowings fleet isn\u2019t an entirely Airbus story – the airline also utilises a fleet of 7 Boeing 737-800 series aircraft. All of these aircraft are registered in the Czech Republic and are also used by <\/span>Smartwings (QS\/TVS)<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>Both Eurowings and Smartwings utilize a partnership where they share aircraft and codeshare flight numbers. Eurowings leases aircraft from Smartwings, and Smartwings also uses Eurowings aircraft, particularly during peak travel seasons. <\/span>The oldest of these is <\/span>OK-TVF<\/span><\/a>, a 20-year-old <\/span>Boeing 737-8FH<\/span><\/a> built in April 2005.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n
