I\u2019ve decided to write this blog contemporaneously. I\u2019ll update it every day of the show.<\/p>\n

Tuesday and Wednesday<\/strong> Setup happens on the two days prior to the show opening to the public. Unfortunately every year the show continues, the number of antiques dealers decreases and the number of jewelry dealers increases. About 80% of the show are jewelry dealers. <\/p>\n

Thursday: 11:30 AM<\/strong> The show opened 30 minutes ago. There isn\u2019t the usual mob, from days gone by. It\u2019s a relatively small crowd.<\/p>\n

We have bronzes by Carl Kauba and others, plus Tiffany Studios lamps<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

Thursday: 3:30 PM<\/strong> Attendance has picked up and there has been some interest, but no sales.<\/p>\n

This showcase is filled with Gall\u00e9 and Daum lamps and glass<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Thursday: 7:00 PM<\/strong> Business has been pathetic. I made one small sale, which wasn\u2019t enough to cover even one of my minor expenses. Got my fingers crossed that the show will improve over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The left side of this showcase has Daum Nancy, Gall\u00e9, Walter & Argy-Rousseau pate-de-verre. The right side of the case is 100% Tiffany Favrile glass.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

Friday: 1:00 PM<\/strong> The crowd started off slowly on Friday, as expected. It picked up soon after. The mix today is more retail clients and fewer dealers, which is usually good for business. I made a couple of sales in a row. I\u2019m hoping it continues.<\/p>\n

We sold this lovely Handel\/Steuben lamp early Friday afternoon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

Friday: 3:30 PM<\/strong> Nothing much happening this afternoon. There are a fair number of guests walking around and a few questions, but no additional business.<\/p>\n

Friday: 7:00 PM<\/strong> Unfortunately today ended with a bust. No additional sales. If business doesn\u2019t improve over the weekend, it\u2019ll be bye-bye to yet another show. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
