The official X\/Twitter account for the 3D action role-playing game in Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games<\/a><\/cite> Tribe Nine<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> project<\/a> announced on Thursday that the game will end service on November 27.<\/p>\n

The staff stated they “strived to provide excellent service and improve player experience,” but decided “after careful consideration” to make the “difficult decision” to end service on the game. The staff added they will not be able to deliver chapter 4 of the game’s story. The staff will reveal the schedule leading up to the game’s end of service at a later date.<\/p>\n

The game launched<\/a> on February 20 for iOS, Android, and PC via Steam<\/a><\/cite>.<\/p>\n

The pixel-style 2D game features three-person team battles, an XB (Extreme Baseball) mode with 3D cutscenes, and a story-rich experience.<\/p>\n

Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games<\/cite> released the game’s global beta test last August.<\/p>\n

The project’s anime premiered<\/a> in January 2022 on Tokyo MX<\/a><\/cite>. Funimation<\/a><\/cite> co-produced the anime, streamed the anime as it aired, and also streamed<\/a> an English dub.<\/p>\n

Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games<\/cite> describe the project set in “20XX in the country of Neo Too Kyo,” where young people form tribes after the collapse of society:\n<\/p>\n

It’s the year 20XX. Neo Tokyo is under the iron rule of a mysterious masked man known as Zero, who has declared that all affairs be settled through his invention, \u201cExtreme Games\u201d (XG). As these merciless rules turn citizens’ lives into mere playthings, a group of young rebels forms a resistance. Armed with techniques and gear inspired by their beloved \u201cXB (Extreme Baseball),\u201d they join forces to reclaim their stolen dreams and restore freedom to Neo Tokyo.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The project also features a webtoon.<\/p>\n

Akatsuki and Too Kyo Games<\/cite> announced the project in February 2020 with several project team members from the Danganronpa<\/a><\/cite><\/cite> franchise.<\/p>\n
