{"id":242862,"date":"2025-05-15T08:46:56","date_gmt":"2025-05-15T08:46:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/business\/internet-business\/the-new-geopolitics-of-ai\/"},"modified":"2025-05-15T08:46:56","modified_gmt":"2025-05-15T08:46:56","slug":"the-new-geopolitics-of-ai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=242862","title":{"rendered":"The New Geopolitics of AI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/businessengineer.ai\/p\/this-week-in-ai-business-the-geopolitical\">Early this year, I published a few weekly analyses based on the new geopolitical approach required to build the AI ecosystem of the future. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Contrary to the last thirty years of the web, the consumer and private companies turned into big tech players have taken the lead.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/businessengineer.ai\/p\/the-web\">We&#8217;re at a different time in history, and at an analogy level, this is way more like the early microchip timeline than the web one. <\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Its implications are massive, as it completely redefines the way we tackle the development of the AI ecosystem as a hybrid model between public and private and between geopolitical needs and infrastructure (energy, minerals), which are essential to spur the whole ecosystem.<\/strong> <\/p>\n<p>As I&#8217;ve highlighted, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/businessengineer.ai\/p\/ai-is-eating-the-world-recorded-workshop\">AI is eating the world<\/a>;<\/strong> we&#8217;re only at the beginning of this cycle of development of the whole ecosystem. <\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the artificial intelligence revolution stands apart from previous technological transformations in scale and structure. <\/p>\n<p>While the Internet era was primarily driven by consumer-facing startups that grew into tech giants, AI development follows a fundamentally different trajectory, resembling the early semiconductor industry more closely than the web economy. <\/p>\n<p>This distinction is not merely academic; it represents a profound shift in how nations approach technological development, economic competition, and geopolitical strategy.<\/p>\n<p>As I&#8217;ve analyzed the emerging AI ecosystem, a clear pattern has emerged: <strong>AI infrastructure development requires an integrated &#8220;deep capital stack&#8221;
