A group of uninformed people did not create this Best Burger in Miami List<\/strong>. Still, Burger Beast<\/strong> (aka, me<\/em>), dedicated to creating an ultimate Miami Burger Guide for true burger fans, did.<\/p>\n The first Burger Beast<\/strong>\u2018s Best Burgers List<\/em> happened in December 2013. I later created one to celebrate National Burger Month<\/a><\/strong> in May 2017 and another a year later for the Miami Herald<\/strong> in May 2018. Since 2019, the list has been updated multiple times every year.<\/p>\n How do I select which burgers make the \u201cBest Burgers in Miami<\/em>\u201d list? I spend the entire year scouring the 305<\/strong> and beyond<\/strong><\/a>, looking for the top burgers in Miami. The original list was fluid, so I added and removed burgers as I saw fit throughout the year. A significant update happens every May during National Burger Month<\/strong> and another at the end of each calendar year.<\/p>\n Don\u2019t forget to check out the Best Burgers in Broward<\/a><\/strong> list.<\/p>\n It\u2019s important to note that all burgers<\/span><\/strong> on this list are fresh beef; no frozen patties are allowed. I then compiled a list based on what I\u2019ve eaten and cut out burgers. <\/p>\n The list shrinks to 30. The hardest part is cutting twenty burgers. From there, it\u2019s a matter of deciding which burger I prefer to eat when comparing. <\/p>\n To be 100% clear, I have eaten every burger on this list and taken every picture. If you\u2019re looking for burger list shenanigans, go elsewhere.<\/em><\/p>\n The burgers are listed alphabetically; if not, we both know you\u2019d only try the Top Three.<\/em><\/p>\n Neighborhood:<\/strong> West Kendall<\/p>\n The Must-Try Burger:<\/strong> \u201cWagyu Beer Cheese Burger\u201d \u2013 7oz Wagyu beef patty topped with jalape\u00f1o beer cheese, IPA BBQ sauce, garlic cilantro sauce and potato stix on a pretzel bun<\/p>\n Burger Beast\u2019s Take:<\/strong> I ate Are You Hungry Grill\u2019s<\/a><\/strong> Wagyu Beer Cheese Burger and still could not wrap my brain around enjoying a burger on a pretzel bun. I still can\u2019t, but I do know it\u2019s phenomenal.<\/p>\n Are You Hungry Grill<\/a><\/strong> started as a burger pop-up<\/strong>, then transitioned to a food truck<\/a><\/strong>, and now a restaurant. You can still find them around town doing pop-ups, but I\u2019m all about the air-conditioned eating!<\/p>\n Address:<\/strong> 12486 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL<\/p>\n Pro Tip:<\/strong> Try their 10oz Smoked Cheeseburger, available only on Tuesdays.<\/p>\n Neighborhood:<\/strong> Palmetto Bay<\/p>\n The Must-Try Burger:<\/strong> \u201cBabe\u2019s Burger\u201d \u2013 Fresh ground prime-wagyu beef blend burger with American cheese, sriracha mayo, and house-made pickles on potato bun<\/p>\n Burger Beast\u2019s Take:<\/strong> After a long run at the Pinecrest Farmer\u2019s Market<\/em>, where they sold under the Babe Froman Fine Sausages<\/em> name, Babe\u2019s Meat & Counter<\/a><\/strong> opened its butcher shop in Palmetto Bay<\/em>. They expanded their selection of meats, and a tasty burger found its way onto the permanent food\/sandwich menu. <\/p>\n I\u2019ve been known to eat one in my car before leaving the parking lot with another for consumption later in the day. It\u2019s the only sensible thing to do when the smell drives you up the wall.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re an old-school Miami food truck fan, it has some of gastroPod<\/strong>\u2018s Mo Betta Burger<\/em> DNA.<\/p>\n Address:<\/strong> 9216 SW 156th Street, Palmetto Bay, FL<\/p>\n Pro Tip:<\/strong> Don\u2019t be a fool and add bacon<\/p>\n Neighborhood:<\/strong> MiMo<\/p>\n The Must-Try Burger:<\/strong> \u201cDry Aged Cheeseburger\u201d \u2013 Half pound NY-strip-brisket blend beef patty with American cheese on a Portuguese Muffin<\/p>\n Burger Beast\u2019s Take:<\/strong> The original version of Blue Collar<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s Dry Aged Cheese Burger had a standard but tasty brioche bun. Chef Danny Serfer <\/em>would later change the bread to its now burger-iconic Portuguese Muffin<\/em>. <\/p>\n It\u2019s probably one of the first things you notice when looking at it. It is also important to note that this is the only burger on every incarnation of my Best Burger<\/strong> list since the first one in 2013, which tells you it\u2019s a must.<\/p>\n Address:<\/strong> 6730 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL<\/p>\n Pro Tip:<\/strong> Remove all the filler (lettuce, tomato, onion<\/em>) and stuff a couple of their fresh-cut fries in this beauty.<\/p>\n Neighborhood:<\/strong> Fort Lauderdale, North Miami Beach, Weston, Wynwood, Doral (Coming Soon<\/em>)<\/p>\n The Must-Try Burger:<\/strong> \u201cSmash Golden Chimichurri Burger\u201d \u2013 Two smashed house-ground beef patties topped with American cheese, diced red onions and mayo-churri sauce on custom house-made bun<\/p>\n Burger Beast\u2019s Take:<\/strong> La Birra Bar<\/a><\/strong> is a two time Burger Bash<\/a><\/strong> winning burger joint based out of Argentina. What sets apart La Birra Bar<\/a><\/strong> from most burger restaurants is they grind their own beef and bake their custom savory sweet buns in-house. Once you do that, you\u2019re already starting on the right foot. Then add to that, the amount of options which means, there is a burger that suits every taste.<\/p>\n Address:<\/strong> 14831 Biscayne Boulevard, North Miami Beach, FL<\/p>\n Pro Tip:<\/strong> There\u2019s a great selection of hot dogs too.<\/p>\n Neighborhood:<\/strong> Brickell, Miami Beach<\/p>\n The Must-Try Burger:<\/strong> \u201cThe Meltdown\u201d \u2013 8oz burger topped with caramelized onions, Swiss Gruy\u00e8re cheese melt, and cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche<\/p>\n Burger Beast\u2019s Take:<\/strong> Burgermeister<\/a><\/strong> is where you go when you\u2019re in the mood for a thick and juicy burger cooked at your fave temp. My first run-in with them was during the pandemic \u2014 delivery only, just meat and cheese, no frills\u2026 and it absolutely hit. That was the moment I knew these guys weren\u2019t playing around.<\/p>\n They have nearly ten pre-built burgers on the menu, or you can get wild and build your own. I\u2019m pacing myself, though\u2026 gotta make it through their hits and rotating specials first.<\/p>\n Burgermeister<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s spots are in Brickell<\/strong> and Miami Beach<\/strong>, but can someone bring one to the \u2018burbs already? I put this up against any of the flavor-of-the-month favorites in South Florida.<\/p>\n The Jerk Smash Burger is available as a double or triple and comes with creole fries. It\u2019s so good that I ate two of them back-to-back.<\/p>\n Address:<\/strong> 4237 NW 107th Ave, Doral, FL<\/p>\n Pro Tip:<\/strong> Make it a triple!<\/p>\n Neighborhood:<\/strong> Little River<\/p>\n The Must-Try Burger:<\/strong> \u201cDry-Aged Burger\u201d \u2013 Half-pound dry-aged brisket-chuck blend patty, American cheese, sauce, onions and pickles on a sesame seed bun<\/p>\n Burger Beast\u2019s Take:<\/strong> I love that Off Site<\/a><\/strong> elevates iconic comfort food dishes like burgers, hot dogs<\/strong>, and chicken wings<\/strong> to the next level. Everything at this comfort food spot has been well thought out.<\/p>\n These folks are putting in work, and the burger is no different. Do you know how hard it is to make something taste incredible when it looks like an everyday burger? It takes great talent; owners Adam Darnell<\/em> and Steve Santana<\/em> are magicians.<\/p>\n Address:<\/strong> 8250 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL<\/p>\n Pro Tip:<\/strong> The twice cooked Chipperbec french fries pair perfectly with the burger.<\/p>\n Neighborhood:<\/strong> Kendall, Westchester, Davie<\/p>\n The Must-Try Burger:<\/strong> \u201cBig Shorty\u2019s Cheeseburger\u201d \u2013 Char-grilled 10oz short rib-brisket-chuck blend patty, and American cheese on a toasted brioche bun<\/p>\n Burger Beast\u2019s Take:<\/strong> A few folks insisted I eat the\u00a0Shorty\u2019s BBQ<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0cheeseburger, aka the\u00a0Big Shorty\u2019s<\/em>. It has been years since I had pulled to Shorty\u2019s BBQ<\/strong> when I arrived for lunch.<\/p>\n Their\u00a0Big Shorty\u2019s Burger<\/em>\u00a0is a char-grilled burger masterpiece. I added cheese, and that\u2019s it! It doesn\u2019t need anything else, but I wouldn\u2019t hold it against you if you dipped it in their warm, vinegary BBQ<\/strong> sauce.<\/p>\n Address:<\/strong> 11575 SW 40th Street, Miami, FL<\/p>\n Pro Tip:<\/strong> Get an order of their giant onion rings, throw one on your burger, drizzle some BBQ sauce and you\u2019ve got a Western Burger<\/em>.<\/p>\n Neighborhood:<\/strong> West Kendall<\/p>\n The Must-Try Burger:<\/strong> \u201cSmoked Brisket Burger\u201d \u2013 half-pound house-ground smoked brisket patty, smoked brisket, smoked gouda cheese, burger sauce, house-made pickles on beef tallow toasted potato bun<\/p>\n Burger Beast\u2019s Take:<\/strong> Burger Fridays<\/strong> were not on the original Smoke and Dough<\/a><\/strong> menu. While I suggest starting with their smoked cheeseburger, the move is to go the brisket burger route.<\/p>\n Yes, all of Smoke and Dough<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s burgers are all smoked and then given a sear. All of the the beef patties are ground in-house with house-made pickles and house-smoked gouda cheese except the Reuben Burger which has Swiss. This burger is $24, but it\u2019s also next-level, folks!<\/p>\n Address:<\/strong> 4013 SW 152nd Avenue, Miami, FL<\/p>\n Pro Tip:<\/strong> If you\u2019re a pastrami fan, you should consider eating the smoked Pastrami Burger<\/em> instead.<\/p>\n Neighborhood:<\/strong> Little River<\/p>\n The Must-Try Burger:<\/strong> \u201c2-Day Double + Cheese Stamp\u201d \u2013 house-ground double patties, house-made cheese sauce, and special sauce on a house-made potato bun<\/p>\n Burger Beast\u2019s Take:<\/strong> The USBS<\/a><\/strong> pop-up made a few appearances at various events around town. It was found at Boxelder Craft Beer Market<\/strong> on weekends until they sold out. Luckily for us burger fans, USBS<\/a><\/strong> eventually found a permanent home at the Citadel Food Hall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Over the years, the menu has expanded to include a chicken sandwich<\/strong>, but the one burger to eat is the 2-Day Double + Cheese Stamp<\/em>.
