Criteo Stock Hits 52-Week Low Following 2024’s Rapid Growth<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Criteo\u2019s share price hit a 52-week low\u00a0last week after equities analysts lowered their price target on the ad tech stock. The commerce media company soared last year, with its share\u00a0price climbing 90 percent in the first eight months of 2024, before beginning\u00a0to decline after missing revenue forecasts in its Q3 earnings.<\/p>\n

All In Census Suggests Progress on Inclusivity – but Discrimination Persists\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Advertising professionals from minority ethnic backgrounds are less likely to leave the industry due to discrimination than previous years, according to the latest All In Census, suggesting the industry is becoming more inclusive. But the results show there is still work to be done, with 19 percent still likely to leave because of discrimination, including 24 percent of black respondents.<\/p>\n

Holding Companies Put the Brakes on Acquisition Sprees<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

2024 saw 52 agency acquisitions globally, according to COMvergence data, down from 127 in 2016. While the decline reflects macroeconomic uncertainty, the research shows the types of acquisitors in agency deals\u00a0are also shifting. The big six holding companies were responsible for 70 percent of agency acquisitions in 2016, but just 37 percent in 2024, with challenger networks such as Stagwell (which made 10 acquisitions last year) pursuing\u00a0acquisitions in their growth strategies.<\/p>\n

Netflix and Prime Video Viewers Plateau in the UK<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the UK, 27 percent of viewers claim to have accessed both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video within the last month, according to\u00a0Kantar Media TGI data, up from just 9 percent when the survey was taken in 2019. However, the figure has plateaued in the last two years, which could reflect rising competition from alternative streaming services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
