Hello Jets to dry-lease two Airbus A320s<\/span><\/h1>\n

Romanian wet-lease operator Hello Jets<\/a> (H3, Bucharest Henri Coanda<\/a>) will add A320-200<\/a>s on financial leases, BoardingPass.ro, a local aviation news website, has reported. The airline is expecting delivery of two aircraft, PK-AXR (msn 2881) and M-ABTG (msn 2885), by the end of January 2025.<\/p>\n

Both aircraft are former Indonesia AirAsia<\/a> (QZ, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta<\/a>) stock and are owned by Altavair<\/a>. Both are 18.4 years old. PK-AXR remains in a maintenance facility at Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta<\/a>, while its sistership is currently undergoing pre-delivery work at Kemble<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hello Jets currently operates one B737-700<\/a> and two B737-800<\/a>s. The B737-700 and one -800 are presently operating for Israir<\/a>, while the second -800 is with LOT Polish Airlines<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“The acquisition of the two A320s represents a natural move for Hello Jets as we continue to adapt to the current market conditions at the dry lease level,” CEO Tudor Constantinescu told ch-aviation. “We have all the necessary capabilities to expand our AOC with this additional aircraft type.”<\/p>\n

“These aircraft are dedicated to the wet lease market, aligning with Hello Jets’ focused commercial strategy. This approach has consistently positioned us as the top-performing Romanian airline in terms of economics.
