{"id":236325,"date":"2025-05-11T10:31:45","date_gmt":"2025-05-11T10:31:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/democrat-attacks-trump-after-latest-newark-radar-outage\/"},"modified":"2025-05-11T10:31:45","modified_gmt":"2025-05-11T10:31:45","slug":"democrat-attacks-trump-after-latest-newark-radar-outage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=236325","title":{"rendered":"Democrat attacks Trump after latest Newark radar outage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A second radar outage in two weeks at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) has caused alarm after air traffic controllers were reportedly blindsided for 90 seconds. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aerotime.aero\/tag\/faa\" title=\"\"> Federal Aviation Administration<\/a> (FAA) confirmed that at 03:55 on May 9, 2025, systems designed to help pilots land commercial aircraft were temporarily lost.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was a telecommunications outage that impacted communications and radar display at Philadelphia TRACON Area C, which guides aircraft in and out of Newark Liberty International Airport airspace,\u201d a spokesperson for the FAA said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The incident came less than two weeks after air traffic controllers at the Philadelphia Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) lost access to the Newark Airport guiding systems on April 28, 2025.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Chuck Schumer, New York\u2019s Senator and the Senate Democratic Leader, criticized President Donald Trump after learning about the latest outage. \u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We just learned that there was ANOTHER outage with the FAA in Newark this morning.<\/p>\n<p>Enough.<\/p>\n<p>Trump needs to get it together now and stop risking safety so DOGE can play government.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenSchumer\/status\/1920892471661240447?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 9, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe just learned that there was ANOTHER outage with the FAA in Newark this morning. Enough. \u00a0 Trump needs to get it together now and stop risking safety so DOGE can play government,\u201d wrote Senator Schumer. \u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<p>US Representative Rick Larsen echoed criticism and said: \u201cProblems with our system have crossed administrations, but safety improvements cannot span generations.
