The flavor is much more pronounced, with a big caramel and moderate roasted malt flavor that benefits from a pronounced earthy pop bitterness.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s funny, in the many years of writing this blog, there\u2019s some beers that tend to never go anywhere. They will always be on tap, either at the breweries themselves or (if I am lucky) in distribution. <\/p>\n<p>No big whatsoever. But for the ones on tap at the breweries, I am far enough removed from most of those beers that I don\u2019t see them for a very long time. When I do, it\u2019s almost like seeing a brand new beer that had never been released before. <\/p>\n<p>The red is one of those beers. I\u2019m happy to have seen The Red because it was great to have another go at such a solidly fun red ale.
