Top 10 Best Animated Movies of 2025 So Far – Just a few months in, and 2025’s animation lineup is already making waves. New stories, returning favorites, and a whole lot of creativity—these are the standouts so far. Today, we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Best Animated Movies of 2025 So Far. Let’s get started!

Geralt’s faced monsters in the wild, in men, and in himself. But Sirens of the Deep trades swords and fire for something colder—a quiet seaside village, a murder with no clear monster, and a song that threatens to pull everything apart.

It’s a slow burn in the best way, drawn from one of Sapkowski’s most emotional short stories. Doug Cockle returns with that voice fans can’t forget, and the animation leans into shadow and stillness. No glory, no armies. Just one witcher, one mystery, and a song no one forgets.

Every villain thinks they’re the hero—and in Plankton: The Movie, he finally gets his shot. This time, the secret formula is just the starting point. What starts as another evil plan spirals into something bigger, stranger, and way more personal.

The animation is slick, the jokes land, and somehow, Plankton’s underdog story hits harder than expected. It’s still Bikini Bottom mayhem, but for once, the tiniest voice in the room gets heard. And what he says? It’s funny, it’s petty… and maybe just a little bit sincere.

Bringing Minecraft to the big screen was always going to be risky—how do you turn endless possibilities into one story? A Minecraft Movie answers that with a bold, blocky adventure that captures the spirit of the game without getting lost in it.

And while it’s not a fully animated film, the way it brings Minecraft’s world to life—visually and tonally—is so faithful, it earns its place here. There are creepers, chaos, and plenty of crafting, but at its core, it’s about survival, imagination, and rebuilding from the ground up.

When a storm takes everything—home, family restaurant, even a sense of place—sometimes all that’s left is what you carry with you. For Laura and her sloth family, that’s a food truck, a recipe book, and a whole lot of heart.

A Sloth Story blends gentle humor with culture and resilience, set against the rhythm of a city that never stops moving. And from a rival cheetah to stolen secrets and late-night kitchen chases—it turns out, starting over can be one wild ride.

A meteor hits a zoo, the animals go full mutant zombie, and somehow—it’s still kind of adorable. Night of the Zoopocalypse is weird in the best way: part horror, part comedy, and completely neon-soaked chaos.

At the center is Gracie, a young timber wolf with more heart than howl, leading a ragtag crew of survivors through the madness. Meanwhile, Bunny Zero—the first infected—mutates into something massive, steering a growing horde with full-blown world-domination plans.

The scares are light, the colors pop, and the tone hits that sweet spot between spooky and sweet. It’s not just survival—it’s style with claws.

It’s loud, it’s absurd, and it’s exactly what kids want—and maybe what adults didn’t know they needed. Dog Man takes the chaotic humor of Dav Pilkey’s world and gives it animated teeth.

Half-dog, half-cop, all heart—Dog Man doesn’t follow rules, he chews them up. The film plays like a comic book exploded onto the screen, full of wild inventions, over-the-top villains, and unfiltered imagination.

But under all the gags and goo, there’s a message about doing good, even if you’re built from the unexpected. It’s messy, weird, and totally original.

There’s a moment in The Colors Within when sound and color blur together, and it feels like emotion has taken physical form. Totsuko, a girl who sees people’s emotions as colors, is drawn to a classmate with an aura she can’t look away from.

That spark leads her to Kimi—and then to Rui, a quiet theremin player carrying his own quiet weight. Together, the three form a band—not to chase fame, but to find something honest. This is a story about expression, friendship, and how music fills the spaces words can’t reach.

It took decades, but we finally have it—the first-ever fully animated Looney Tunes movie made for the big screen. The Day the Earth Blew Up throws Porky Pig and Daffy Duck into the middle of an alien invasion, and somehow, they hold it together… sort of.

The gags are wild, the energy is classic, and the animation leans into vintage chaos with modern polish. But what makes it land? There’s heart under all the anarchy. It’s not just a nostalgia trip—it’s a full-blown return to form, and it’s finally where it belongs: in theaters.

This Chinese animated epic became the highest-grossing animated film of all time—not by chasing trends, but by pushing deeper into the myth.

After a world-shaking sacrifice, Ne Zha and Ao Bing exist on the edge of fading out completely. What follows isn’t a rescue mission—it’s a reckoning.

The film slows down, lets its characters sit in uncertainty, and asks harder questions: What does it mean to come back? And what’s left of you when you do? With breathtaking animation and raw emotion beneath every frame, Ne Zha 2 doesn’t try to outdo the first. It transforms it.

After years of silence, the clay legends return—and they haven’t lost a single crumb of charm. Vengeance Most Fowl is a triumphant comeback, packed with everything we love: absurd inventions, buttery toast, and Gromit’s eternal patience.

But the real surprise? The return of Feathers McGraw—the silent, criminal penguin with unfinished business. The animation is immaculate, the humor hits like clockwork, and Aardman proves once again: no one blends chaos and craftsmanship quite like this. It’s not just nostalgic—it’s a masterclass.

That is it from today’s post on Top 10 Best Animated Movies of 2025 So Far.
