You can remove the password, but you have to dig for it. Here\u2019s how to find and remove it:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Launch Keychain Access. This app is stored in\u00a0<code>\/System\/Library\/CoreServices\/Applications\/<\/code>, which you can reach in the Finder by choosing\u00a0<em>Go &gt; Go To Folder<\/em>\u00a0and pasting that path in.<\/li>\n<li>After launching, Keychain Access prompts you about whether you intended to launch the Passwords app. Click <em>Open Keychain Access<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Authenticate with Touch ID or your password.<\/li>\n<li>With the\u00a0<code>login<\/code>\u00a0keychain selected in the left-hand sidebar, click in the Search field at the upper right, and enter the name of the drive or type in\u00a0<code>encrypted volume password<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the entry and choose <em>Edit<\/em> &gt; <em>Delete<\/em> or press the Delete key. In my testing, deleting doesn\u2019t always cause the entry to disappear right away. You may need to perform a fresh search to check.<\/li>\n<li>Restart your Mac to check that the password is no longer automatically provided.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Take heed, though!
