While linear TV spend continues to fall, ad spend on VOD has almost doubled since 2021, and now makes up more than one-quarter of total TV spend in the UK.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/videoweek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AA-WARC@2x.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-55553 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/videoweek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/AA-WARC@2x-1024x742.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"742\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>ITV Shares Climb Amid Ongoing Sale Rumours<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ITV&#8217;s share price has risen amid various reports of bidders emerging to buy parts or all of the UK broadcaster, signalling investor support\u00a0for a potential sale of ITV Studios. Last week, reports suggested that French TV company Banijay was planning a takeover offer, sending ITV&#8217;s stock price up 3 percent. However, industry analysts remain sceptical over the value of selling ITV Studios in a weak TV advertising market.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/videoweek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/ITV@2x.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-55554 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/videoweek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/ITV@2x-1024x742.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"742\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Digital Video Ad Spend Overtakes Linear TV in US<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Digital video ad spend surpassed linear TV in the US last year, according to the IAB, rising from 29 percent of total video spend in 2020, to 51 percent in 2024.
