Croatia Airlines has confirmed it will retire one Airbus A320 aircraft this year as part of its transition to a single-type A220 fleet. The carrier did not specify which of the two A320s in its fleet will be removed from operation this year, with both over twenty years old. The jet registered 9A-CTK, nicknamed \u201cSplit\u201d is 25 years old, while 9A-CTO, nicknamed \u201cDubrovnik\u201d, is just over 21 years old. Earlier this year the carrier retired two of its six Dash 8 Q400 aircraft. They were initially flown to Canada to undergo inspections, having reached 40.000 flight cycles. They were then returned to Zagreb where they are now undergoing final maintenance work at Croatia Airlines\u2019 hangars after which they will be repainted at a facility in Bratislava before being returned to their owner.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
