It will feature Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire sharing his vision for the stablecoin giant\u2019s next move within the payments space, according to an invite seen by CoinDesk.<\/p><div class=\"g g-1\"><div class=\"g-single a-5\"><a class=\"gofollow\" data-track=\"NSwxLDEsNjA=\" href=\"https:\/\/brainsupreme.co\/MACRO15\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"850\" height=\"500\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.activistpost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/AP-AffiliateAd-850x500-BrainSupreme-1.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>New and incipient regulations around the globe are opening up the stablecoin space, where Circle has shared the limelight with larger rival Tether. It makes sense then that Circle \u2014 a firm that has successfully pivoted during its years in the crypto space \u2014 should look to consolidate its position and return to its roots as a payments company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCircle is launching a payments network that is initially targeting remittances but is ultimately aiming to rival Mastercard and Visa,\u201d said a person familiar with the plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stablecoins have reached an adoption level where the technology could disrupt global money transfers in a way similar to WhatsApp and international calls, VC firm Andreessen Horowitz said\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/04\/09\/stablecoins-are-whatsapp-moment-for-money-transfers-a16z-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in recent report.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2025\/04\/15\/struggle-for-stablecoin-dominance-set-to-enter-third-round-fireblocks-says\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a recent interview,<\/a>\u00a0crypto custody tech specialists Fireblocks pointed to billions being moved around by payments services providers doing things like cross border payments using stablecoins like USDC and USDT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Circle was in the news most recently, after the firm announced plans to go public in the U.S., only to postpone the date of its IPO thanks to choppy and uncertain market conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Circle did not immediately respond to requests for comment.<\/p>\n\n            \n        <\/div>\r\n<br>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Circle is unveiling a new payments and cross border remittance product on Tuesday, from the firm\u2019s One World Trade Center headquarters, according to an invite to the launch event.
