{"id":226152,"date":"2025-05-06T05:34:02","date_gmt":"2025-05-06T05:34:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/peraltafinancing.com\/aerospace\/air-new-zealand-unveils-fully-redesigned-b787-9-dreamliner\/"},"modified":"2025-05-06T05:34:02","modified_gmt":"2025-05-06T05:34:02","slug":"air-new-zealand-unveils-fully-redesigned-b787-9-dreamliner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fivemor.com\/?p=226152","title":{"rendered":"Air New Zealand unveils fully redesigned B787-9 Dreamliner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Air New Zealand unveiled its newly retrofitted Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, which will be ready for booking starting May 7, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft, with registration ZK-NZH, is currently in Auckland undergoing final testing before it takes off for the very first time on May 19, 2025, on a flight from Auckland Airport (AKL) to Brisbane Airport (BNE).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Once it completes its Trans-Tasman test flight, it is scheduled to fly its first long-haul service from AKL Airport to San Francisco International Airport (SFO).<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-1\"\/>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXfvhzIeE_4SQLPcIw4X8wzdJDq4CAsV6MtS8rPSf5lW7p79W_DXe_JRQdiDs_7-Mri7JDWZJzy3Jse20NzTX5XWr7wbyl7ETfREyKP7h4MwZhVO_momoTann5o4q5GvwiwGuMZz?key=HmnxtMtBOJrX1vQvQ-dPqtrs\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<p>Air New Zealand CEO Greg Foran shared that the aircraft is a result of several years of extensive research, designed by the Air NZ team to deliver a \u201cworld-class\u201d onboard experience, and that it had spent 194 days in Singapore for the retrofit process.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The airline\u2019s second 787-9 is also in Singapore undergoing its retrofit. Air New Zealand said that by the end of 2025, it will have a total of seven aircraft that will have completed their retrofit. All 14 Boeing 787-9s in its fleet will be updated to the new cabin layout by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the first ever full nose-to-tail retrofit of a 787-9 Dreamliner and marks the introduction of our first new onboard product in over 15 years,\u201d Foran said.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-2\"\/>\n<p>The redesigned Dreamliners will fly predominantly between Auckland and Brisbane, San Francisco, Rarotonga International Airport (RAR), and Vancouver International Airport (YVR). More routes will be announced as the retrofit progresses.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The retrofitted Air New Zealand B787-9 include the following features:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Business Premier<\/strong><\/p>\n<aside class=\"article-leaderboard bn-3\"\/>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New angle and layout with additional privacy and space<\/li>\n<li>Sliding privacy screens, wireless charging, and a 24\u2033 inflight entertainment screen<\/li>\n<li>Middle seats with a sliding divider<\/li>\n<li>Full lie-flat recline with a clever headrest lift\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXcFE-GVSJtdRX6pN2m2WsXh1GiDPlwU1o-V8wHotatdg-Aum-NNF1f96ln4lcTd20NcFxlNEx05oIoZkEapCCduSjSGM9hiokbbUj2hdY8oaTtkm0YJqK1wnELrb_ilCeduE-0Edg?key=HmnxtMtBOJrX1vQvQ-dPqtrs\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n<p><strong>Business Premier Luxe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These are four all-new seats in the front row of the Business Premier cabin.
