Mason, congratulations on your upcoming single, \u201cDUST.\u201d Can you elaborate on the personal experiences that inspired such a raw and powerful track?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello, Thank You so much. My new single \u201cDUST\u201d was inspired by a past relationship that went really bad so fast. I like to write music to help me heal with what my life experiences are.<\/p>\n

You co-wrote \u201cDUST\u201d with Agina. What was that collaborative process like, and how did your creative energies come together on this particular song?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our creative process is we sit in a room and talk through my feelings. We start to put the ideas down and then we start to create the song. Agina and KThrash really make the experience so easy.<\/p>\n

KThrash produced \u201cDUST\u201d in Burbank. How did their production style contribute to the emotional intensity and overall sonic landscape of the track?<\/strong><\/p>\n

KThrash\u2019s style is a huge contribution as we look forward to seeing what KThrash and Agina\u2019s comes up with. The music is such a huge important part of the song and I am always in shock how fast and amazing the sound is.<\/p>\n

With two singles now under your belt and more music on the horizon, how would you describe your identity as a musical artist?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would describe my musical identity as helpful to others who may go through hardship a way to heal and express what they are feeling.<\/p>\n

For fans eagerly awaiting your new music, what can you tell them about your future musical plans beyond the upcoming third single?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My future plan at this moment is to create an EP. I am actually very excited about creating one \u2013 it will be full of lessons and love.<\/p>\n

How do you balance your burgeoning music career with your established work in film and television? Do these different creative outlets inform each other?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I balance my 2 different careers very easily. I audition as they come in and work when I book a job. I use the music as an escape to help me relax and express my feelings, so when I\u2019m not working as an actor, I\u2019m doing something with music [writing, rehearsing, performing] \u2013 I love every aspect of music!<\/p>\n

Your role as Toby Murphy in \u201cSchooled\u201d brought you a lot of recognition. How have your fans from your acting work reacted to your venture into music?<\/strong><\/p>\n

My fans from my acting work and my music work are very similar. As I use my social media platforms to show what is going on in my life at the time personally and my career. I really only get positive responses from fans, and I am very grateful for that.<\/p>\n

Are there any aspects of acting, such as storytelling or connecting with an audience, that directly translate to your musical performances or songwriting process?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Absolutely\u2026There is a lot is the same. Storytelling is just storytelling. The only real difference is in acting you have more time to tell the story and in songwriting you have 3-4 minutes to tell the whole story.<\/p>\n

Do you see your music and acting careers as separate entities, or do you envision them potentially intersecting or influencing each other in the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I really hope that eventually my music and acting careers will start intersecting together because my dream would be to start writing music for movies and tv shows.<\/p>\n
