American has added 20 new routes between John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) from slots returned after the Northeast Alliance ended, and intend to offer more than 250 flights with partners. The interconnectivity will also reach additional synergy with co-locating at JFK\u2019s Terminal 8 with Oneworld alliance members.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to shareholders during their financial presentations call, JetBlue chief executive Joanna Geraghty <a href=\"https:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/article\/4779298-jetblue-airways-corporation-jblu-q1-2025-earnings-conference-call-transcript?mailingid=39635507&amp;messageid=2800&amp;serial=39635507.1268&amp;source=email_2800\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said the lawsuit<\/a> was \u201cnot an unexpected turn and part of just shrewing up any monies owed between the parties.\u201d Leaders for the carrier also talked about working towards a new partnership with another airline, which chief financial officer Ursula Hurley said could take place \u201chopefully in this quarter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Share your thoughts on the end of the Northeast Alliance on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flyertalk.com\/forum\/american-airlines-aadvantage\/2193234-aa-sues-jetblue-ends-partnership-talks.html\">FlyerTalk forums<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>American Airlines is taking their former partner JetBlue to court claiming they are owed money for the winddown of their alliance.
